3 The Story of the iconic Porcelain Lyngby is a Danish design company that rediscovers and recreates applied arts from our mutual Scandinavian design heritage and tradition. In 2012, we relaunched the classic, original Lyngby Vase, which was originally manufactured by Porcelænsfabrikken Danmark from 1936 until the factory in Lyngby closed in The vase eventually became an iconic collectible loved by many generations and with good reason. The simple, unpretentious column shape and stoic tranquility of the vase suited any home regardless of taste in décor both as a freestanding sculpture and when it allows any flower and bouquet to unfold in the most beautiful way. Based on the popularity of the Lyngby Vase, we decided to reintroduce the collection and bring it back to Danish homes. With the greatest diligence and with deep respect for the unique history of the vase, it was brought up to date with a new, more contemporary matt glaze that adds a beautiful texture. Today, the timeless design and craftsmanship of the past goes hand in hand with current trends in our updated original Lyngby Vase collection, which includes several sizes and various colors in porcelain, glass and marble. In addition, the collection now includes the Lyngby Bowl, the Lyngby Candle, the Lyngby Flowerpot, as well as a wide range of Lyngby Dinnerware that adds a modern elegance to any dining table and kitchen. A brand new original Vesterbro Vase also saw the light of day in 2016, and more products that fit into this harmonious concept and the Lyngby story will continuously be unveiled at Lyngby.com. Dens enkelte, uprætentiøse søjleform og stoiske ro klædte ethvert hjem uanset smagsretning både som enestående skulptur og når den lader enhver blomst og buket folde sig ud på smukkeste vis. Med baggrund i Lyngby vasens popularitet satte vi os for at reintroducere serien og bringe den tilbage til danske hjem. Med størst tænkelig omhu og med respekt for vasens særlige historie blev vasen genskabt med en ny, mere nutidig mat glasur, der tilfører en smuk stoflighed. I dag går fortidens tidløse design og håndværk hånd i hånd med nutidens tendenser i vores opdaterede, originale Lyngby vase serie, der tæller flere størrelser og farver i både porcelæn, glas og marmor. 5 The original Lyngby Vase At Lyngby, we respect the past, live in the present and make room for the creation of something new. With this mindset, we relaunched the Lyngby Vase in 2012, making the iconic grooved vase from Porcelænsfabrikken Danmark ( ) available again to the people who love it. Today, the original Lyngby Vase is available in many sizes and various colors in porcelain, glass and marble all with the signature symmetric grooves, paying homage to the unique design and history of the Lyngby Vase. Further inspired by the old porcelain archives, we launched the Lyngby Deluxe Edition in 2015, a unique and luxurious version of the classic Lyngby Vase. With great respect and an eye for the traditional craftsmanship, we reinterpreted older Lyngby Vase designs with matt gold hand-painted decorations, thus creating the Lyngby Deluxe Edition vases with beautiful, handpainted golden and silver edges. Since then, a Lyngby Deluxe Edition with hand-painted golden, silver and copper edges has been made for the Lyngby Candle as well. 7 The original Lyngby Anniversary Vase The popular Lyngby Vase celebrated its 80th birthday in 2016, and as a tribute to the iconic vase, we made a special anniversary edition of the Lyngby Vase in white and black Portuguese Estremoz marble. This new and regal version of the vase presents itself in a clean and monumental way, like a classic sculpture resembling the archetypal Greek Doric column. The polished surface gives the marble a smooth and silk-like finish that begs to be touched. The characteristically black and white veins of the marble differ from vase to vase, making every single Lyngby Anniversary Vase unique. 9 The original Lyngby TRUMPET Vase As early as the 1920 s, trumpet-shaped porcelain vases were popular in Denmark, and Porcelænsfabrikken Danmark also manufactured various trumpet-shaped vases in the 1930 s and 1940 s. Inspired by these early designs from Porcelænsfabrikken Danmark, our original Lyngby Trumpet vase came to life in The Lyngby Trumpet vase is a perfect match for colorful, romantic bouquets or decorative plants and branches, and it can also be adored as an elegant sculpture in its own right. 11 The original Lyngby SOLITAIRE Vase As a tribute to the Lyngby Vase, we decided to further develop the design of the classic vase, this time making it slimmer and thereby the original Lyngby Solitaire vase was born in 2016, retaining the beautiful functionality, symmetry and balance of the original Lyngby Vase. As the name suggests, the Lyngby Solitaire vase is a modest decorative piece, perfect for lovers of the simple and elegant Scandinavian décor. The Lyngby Solitaire vase stands beautifully by itself, but will also flourish next to other members of the Lyngby family. As an expansion of our Lyngby collection, the Lyngby Candle has the same beautiful design as the timeless Lyngby Vase, making your candlelit evening even more exquisite. First introducing the 5 cm tealight holders in porcelain in 2014, we have since added crown and pillar candle holders in porcelain as well as 6.5 cm tealight holders in glass to the Lyngby Candle collection, all available in different colors. 23 The original VESTERBRO VASE Inspired by the multi-faceted and rebellious Vesterbro an urban district in Copenhagen that resonates with many people Lyngby has created the original Vesterbro Vase, which captures the rebelliousness and expressiveness, as well as the cool and understated vibe of Vesterbro. The organic shape of the Vesterbro vase is reminiscent of flower buds or seeds sprouting through the surface of the soil. The glaze plays down the expressive and chaotic shape thereby creating a poetic expression that is both complex and simple at the same time. In essence, the Vesterbro Vase is a vase with character. 25 The original Lyngby SNOWFLAKE The original Lyngby Snowflake from 2016 is inspired by the timeless design of the Lyngby vase. The Lyngby Snowflake is a Christmas tree ornament, and as the name suggests, it it shaped like a snowflake with the iconic Lyngby grooves. Being a multi-functional Christmas decoration, the Snowflakes hang beautifully on other sorts of tree branches as well and can be laid out flat as Christmas table decorations. Every gift box contains three different sizes of the original Lyngby Snowflake; 6 cm, 7 cm and 8 cm in either white clear or red glaze.
