4 Scope of animal feed technologies 1. Indian feed industry is presently growing at a CAGR of 8 percent. Poultry, aqua and dairy industry occupy the major share in overall feed demand. While the potential feed requirement is huge and stands more than 100 million tonnes, only million tonnes was produced during There is a huge scope for the growth in the sector. With current growth rate India will soon become the largest feed market in the coming years. The feed industry requirements that are met with the compound feed are 11-15% percent for cattle, 10-12% for aqua feed and 70-75% for poultry feed. 3. Feeding of animals constitutes 65-70% of total cost in dairy enterprise. The objective to reduce the feeding costs needs emphasis on knowledge and utilization of latest feed technologies which can improve the productivity. This will require establishments of new animal feed industry and also enhancement in production potential of existing animal feed plants. Selection: 20 participants will be selected at a time, based on date of registration with registration fee. First Come First Serve will be selection criteria.
