3 Rethink Baltic 3 Every solution must always solve more than one problem Climate adaption Water as a ressource Carbon and Water Footprint High potential with Intelligent Water solutions Potentially, the Baltic Sea Region can become a world leading demonstration site for water technologies and a center of excellence for the region s cleantech industry

4 Waste Water, Industry & Agriculture Waste water treatment plants ( blue and white dots) 4 Waste water is one of the major problems but potentially, the waste water can be one of the solutions to a new approach for the water sector. Agriculture (Yellow and red ) and Industry ( green dots) Agriculture and Industry also has also to focus on waste water treatment, reuse of water, and use of chemichals and fertilizers. water and carbon footprint and a new approach

5 Waste Water as a ressource The Energy Factory Concept, EFC 5 The four fundamental principles are: Reduce energy consumption Maximize energy production Exploit all economically viable opportunities to produce useful products from wastewater Operate the treatment works as a factory leading to better management and continuous improvement Recent findings in a Utility: Application of the Energy Factory Concept (EFC) can: Half Energy consumption on wastewater sites Double energy production on sites Half the carbon footprint Make available significant amounts of excess heat for other uses (District Heating etc).

6 Rethink Baltic 6 Within 10 years all wastewater treatment plant should be at least energy neutral, and phosphorous producing Industrial waste water and manure and other agricultural waste products has to be delivered to the waste water treatment plants København - Ringsted Grontmij er med til at etablere Danmarks første højhastighedsbane. Sjælland får en ny, dobbeltsporet bane mellem København og Ringsted. Den cirka 60 kilometer lange strækning bygges til tog, der kører med 200 kilometer i timen. Giv et Praj Grontmij har udviklet et nyt system og app, der i høj grad involverer den enkelte borger. Kommunerne får stor værdi af borgernes viden og registrering af forskellige forhold i by og natur.

8 What are we waiting for?? 8 Lightrail Spartacus Den offentlige transport i den belgiske provins Limburg bliver nu forbedret i samarbejde med Grontmij. Vi udbygger de nuværende togforbindelser med tre hurtige metrolinjer. Projektet vil stå færdigt i Hans-Martin Friis Møller [email protected] Udvidelse af Motorring 4 Grontmij er med til at udvide Motorring 4 fra to til tre kørespor i hver vejbane på en strækning på ca. 4,5 km. Resultatet bliver minimal gene for bilister og natur under anlægsarbejdet.
