1 Statusrapport Denne statusrapport benyttes første gang ved indgåelsen af forvaltningskontrakt. Herefter skal en opdateret statusrapport indsendes til NORA mindst én gang årligt. NORA forbeholder sig herudover ret til på ethvert tidspunkt i projektforløbet at anmode hovedpartneren om en opdateret statusrapport. I forbindelse med anmodning om udbetaling af projektmidler skal en opdateret statusrapport altid indsendes til NORA sammen med den obligatoriske rekvisitionsblanket. Ilulissat (Greenland) will be an environmental advisor in the Project as soon as the Consortium sets up the carbon footprint calculator for the tourist packages. As suggested by the NORA committee at the NORA Conference in November 2012Magma Geopark (MG) has looked for new partners in Faroe and Greenland. We are pleased to report we have been successful in increasing the partnership: TORA from Faroe and Blue Ice Explorer from Greenland who are both travel Companies will join the consortium in the second part of GEO2NOR during (Application sent for NORA call in March 2013). Forventede resultater og effekter [Her gengives de overordnede resultater, som kan forventes af det NORA-støttede projekt.] The GEO2NOR project is designed to develop a high quality tourist offering and booking system for the NORA Region. The areas involved in part 1 (2013) are: Iceland, Norway, Scotland and Canada. The lead Partner is Magma Geopark with the Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE), the tourism department of Fjord Norway, as facilitator and tourism advisor. NCE tourism is the longest and most successful regional tourism cooperation in Western Norway. GEO2NOR will involve local partners in the countries noted above including small business such as restaurants, accommodations, attractions and small size eventstourist companies. This project promises to provide great benefits to all organizations and local businesses involved. The Project was divided into two phases. The first phase has been spent developing consensus amongst partners regarding the look and feel of the website, garnering feedback from prospective local companies. This phase commenced in November 2012 and will run until October If financing is secured, the second phase will run from November 2013 until October The second phase will be the implementation phase.

Shetland Amenity Trust Geopark: Determining the needs of potential providers was executed through a need analysis which was carried out through a tailored online questionnaire Each partner identified their stakeholders in the tourism field, divided into categories: accommodation provider, tour provider, hospitality provider, transport provider, marketing sector. 72 companies provided this much needed feedback. Several questions were set up in order to find out the local needs as it relates to tourism. Initial data analysis indicates the GEO2NOR goals meet many of the common needs expressed by the participants, especially in relation to the booking system. In fact the majority of the Companies don't use any specific or common platform but fulfils requests simply through or phone. It is evident the web based booking system will have a major impact on the tourism sectors in the GEO2NOR regions noted. Complete data analysis will occur and a tailored feedback form will be sent to the stakeholders involved thanking them for their support and updating them on the results and future steps. Web site programming and on line questionnaire, resp. Locatify private Company: This designer has been subcontracted to provide a tailored logo for the project. The logo will characterize all the partner's products and all the branding actions. Locatify also set up the tourism questionnaire via the online platform, Survey Monkey, and managed the distribution and collection of the survey data. The project web page is now available at: It will soon be populated with information, pictures and videos promoting all partner regions and the NORA Region. The website will also include a drop down menu for packages selections. Once the packages are developed and approved (Sept 2013) they will be placed on the website. During the second part of the project (2014) the booking platform will be developed, tested and launched. The consortium will consider the tourism laws and specific regulations of all the countries involved to ensure laws are adhered to on the booking system. sara gentilini 4/26/13 3:55 PM Deleted: (, Promotion activities, resp. Each partner has promoted the project goals via local media such as radio and print. MG secured one National radio episode to promote the project results in Norway. MG will develop a newsletter in May Communication plan, Magma Geopark: The communication plan is comprised of direct mail, through the project mail list and skype meetings for group meetings and one to one meetings in order to discuss the specific partner s task. A video- conference meeting has been organizing for 7 th May 2013 and will involve all partners in order to discuss the main project achievements

4 and deliverables. All project documents have been placed in a Drop-box tailored folder available for all partners at any time. QA plan, Stonehammer Geopark: The monthly time line was approved in Feb (attached). All partners approved the quality plan in March 2103 (attached). All partners submitted the first monthly project report and expense claim on time (1 st of March, next is planned 1 st May) to Magma Geopark. The total budget is reduced by DKK, from 1 million DKK to DKK.
