1 Senior Researcher International Security Postal address: Denmark Phone: Curriculum I am a scholar, researcher, and intellectual engineer who focus on the politics and practices of global security management. I work in the intersection between political science, law, and sociology with occasional dips into anthropology, theology, political theory and philosophy. I develop theory and carry out fieldwork. I facilitate collaboration between academics, policy makers and practitioners. During 2015 my key foci are: The history and theory of collateral damage in war, UN peace operations, the swelling role of cultural property in wars, and new technology and International Humanitarian Law (drones and surveillance tech). Recent research foci include: the privatization of security, capacity development in fragile states, state building, resilience, drones and UN Peace operations, human rights in armed conflicts. Since 2014, I have directed the NATO Science for Peace and Security Project "Best Practices for Cultural Property Protection in NATO-led Missions." I contribute on an ongoing basis to policy development debates in the UN, NATO and the Danish Ministries.
