InJuly2018,mVAM conductedthe35throundofhouseholdfoodsecuritymonitoringinyemenvialivetelephoneinterviews.responsesarelikelytobebiasedtowardsyounger,somewhatbetter-off householdswholiveinurbanareasandhavebetteraccesstoelectricityandphone-charging services.sincehouseholdswithmorephonesaremorelikelytobeselected,thefindingsofthisreportareweightedbythenumberofsim cardsheldbyhouseholds.theyarealsoweightedbypopulationestimatesforidpsandnon-idps.themapspresentasnapshotofhouseholdfoodconsumption patternsatthetimeofdatacolectionanddonotrepresenttheprevalenceoffoodinsecurityatpopulationlevel(asisthecaseforipcmaps).detailsonmethodologyandaggregatedatatablesareavailableonline. JulydataalsoshowsthatRaymah,Marib,AlJawfandTaizzarethegovernorateswiththelowestfoodconsumption(Figure1)andtheaveragenumberofdayshouseholdsatedairyproducts,fruitand proteinsdroppedinjulycomparedtojune.
