TheSATEvidence-BasedReadingandWriting(ERW) benchmarkisassociatedwitha7 chanceofearningat leastacinfirst-semester,credit-bearing,colege-level coursesinhistory,literature,socialscience,orwriting. Thegrade-levelbenchmarkscoresforPSAT-related assessmentsarebasedonexpectedstudentgrowthtoward thesatbenchmarksateachgrade.whilesatbenchmarks indicatelikelihoodofsuccessincolege,grade-level benchmarksindicatewhetherastudentisontrackforcolege andcareerreadinessfortheirgrade.thebenchmarksareset toreflecttypicalannualgrowthfrom yeartoyearfrom 8th through12thgrades.
