However,deteriorationsinfoodconsumptionwereobservedinAlHudaydah,whichisgeneralyoneofthegovernoratesmostaffectedbyconflictandhasrecentlyseenfurtherupticksinviolence.Outside ofthemainconflictzones,deteriorationoffoodconsumptionwasalsoobservedinhadramoutandmarib.asaresult,theproportionofhouseholdswithinadequatedietconsistentlyincreasedforthose governorates.(figure2).junedataalsoshowsthatthelevelofconsumptionremainedpoorintheconflictaffectedgovernoratesofsana'a,sana'acity,sa'adahandtaizz. ForShabwahgovernorate,thedatashowsadifferenttrend.Foodconsumptionimprovedandtheproportionofhouseholdswithinadequatedietdroppedfrom 28percentinMayto14percentinJune.This improvementcouldbetheresultofthecontinuedfoodassistancetofamiliesinneed:theproportionofsurveyedhouseholdswhoreportedreceivingfoodassistancebywfpandotherorganizations considerablyincreasedinjune. InJune,theshareofhouseholdswhoreportedfoodassistanceasthemainsourceoffoodincreasedinAdDali(from 8% to18%),hadramaut(from 2% to19%),ibb(from 8% to17%),marib(from 8% to 27%),butdecreasedinAbyan(from 16% to6%)andinalhudaydah(from 26% to15%).inmarchandmay,1.5milionofhouseholds-anestimated9milionpeopleoronethirdofthepopulation-withno othersourceofincome,receivedemergencycashtransfers.thecashtransfersalowedfoodandmedicinepurchasesimprovingthefoodsecuritysituationandhelpingavertfurtherdeterioration.
