1. Tilsigtet brug SmartRadiator Gatewayen giver en brugervenlig hjælp til konfiguration af SmartRadiator produkter vha. SmartRadiator PC Software og SmartRadiator Internetportal. Det kan også bruges til at vise status for produkterne i alle rum i hjemmet. SmartRadiator Gatewayen forbinder SmartRadiator enheder og muliggør styring via en pc og en internetforbindelse og gemmer de konfigurationer/indstillinger, du har foretaget. SmartRadiator Gatewayen (og der igennem SmartRadiator systemet) kan styres på forskellige måder ved hjælp af din eksisterende internetforbindelse: Via lokale SmartRadiator PC Software Via SmartRadiator Internet Hjemmeside Via SmartRadiator APP til smartphone Konfigurationsindstillinger af alle SmartRadiator produkter sker via et brugervenligt SmartRadiator PC software. Forskellige indstillinger kan foretages for de enkelte rum og indstillingerne (f.eks varmeprofil) overføres automatisk til SmartRadiator Kontrollerne i systemet (så disse også kan fungere uafhængigt uden SmartRadiator Gatewayen). Enheden må kun betjenes indendørs og skal beskyttes mod påvirkningerne af fugt og støv, såvel som sol-eller varme-stråling. Brugs dette produkt til andre formål end beskrevet i denne betjeningsvejledning bortfalder garantienr. Dette gælder også for enhver ombygning eller ændring af produktet. 3. Sikkerhedsanvisninger Denne enhed er ikke et stykke legetøj, tillad ikke børn at lege med det. Efterlad ikke emballage liggende, da det kan være farligt i hænderne på et barn. Åbn ikke enheden: Det indeholder ikke dele, der skal serviceres af brugeren. I tilfælde af en fejl, bedes du returnere enheden til vores serviceafdeling. 4. Instruktioner for bortskaffelse Smid ikke apparatet med almindelige husholdningsaffald! Elektronisk udstyr skal bortskaffes på de lokale indsamlingssteder for affald elektronisk udstyr i overensstemmelse med affald af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr. CE-mærkningen er et officielt symbol, som vedrører den frie bevægelighed for et produkt, det gør ikke garantere et produkts egenskaber. 5. Montering SmartRadiator Gatewayen kan fastgøres til væggen eller stå op på sine fødder. Brug vægbeslaget, hvis du ønsker at montere SmartRadiator Gatewayen på væggen: Brug en kuglepen til at markere placeringen af borehuller (a) i vægbeslaget på væggen. 5
Brug et bor til at lave hullerne som vist (a). Brug de medfølgende skruer og rawlplugs til fastgørelse af beslaget på væggen. Når vægbeslaget er monteret, kan SmartRadiator Gatewayen fastgøres til vægbeslaget fra oven, med åbningen nedad. 6. Opsætning af SmartRadiator Systemet Systemet opsætning omfatter følgende trin, der er beskrevet nedenfor: Tilslutning af SmartRadiator Gateway Installation af SmartRadiator Gateway PC software Installation og Inkludering af SmartRadiator enheder Opsætning af internet-kontrol 6.1 Tilslutning af SmartRadiator Gatewayen 1. Tilslut SmartRadiator Gatewayen til strømforsyningen: SmartRadiator Gatewayen forsynes af medfølgende strømforsyning. OBS: For at undgå at beskadige enheden, kan du kun den strømforsyning/adapter der følger med produktet. Sæt USB Strømforsyning i en stikkontakt. Tilslut strøm til SmartRadiator Gatewayen via USB-kablet. Brug USB-porten på siden af enheden (2) til dette formål. Lysdioden begynder at blinke, så snart SmartRadiator Gatewayen starter en selv-test. Lysdioden lyser konstant, når Selv-testen er gennemført, og klar til brug. 6
2. Tilslut SmartRadiator Gatewayen til Routeren / PC: Tilslut SmartRadiator Gatewayen til en router. For at gøre dette, skal du bruge det medfølgende netværkskabel, som forbindes mellem SmartRadiator Gatewayen og din router. Tilslut routeren til din PC. Internet Lysdioden begynder at blinke, så snart forbindelsen til routeren er aktiv. Efter en kort periode begynder Internet Lysioden at lyse konstant. Forbindelsen til SmartRadiator Portal er aktiv, og SmartRadiator Gatewayen er nu klar til brug. Alternativt kan SmartRadiator Gatewayen forsynes med strøm via en USB-port på en router eller en computer. Bemærk venligst, at på nogle computere, er USBspændingen ikke tilgængelige, når computeren er slukket. Hvis strømforsyningen til SmartRadiator Gatewayen afbrydes, vil termostater i rummene fortsætter med at regulere temperaturen uafhængigt af Gatewayen. SmartRadiator Gatewayen fungerer som interface til SmartRadiator PC software, til en SmartRadiator Eco knap og som et centralt datalager. 7
6.2 Installation af SmartRadiator software Du skal anvende SmartRadiator PC softwaren til at Inkludere SmartRadiator enheder til SmartRadiator Gatewayen, for at kunne lave konfigurationer/indstillinger og til at hente status af de installeret SmartRadiator produkter i hjemmet. SmartRadiator Gatewayen skal forsynes med strøm og forbindes til router for for at kunne installere Smart-Radiator PC softwaren. Når SmartRadiator Gatewayen er ved at blive konfigureret, skal DHCP være aktiveret på routeren. Alternativt kan følgende adresse tildeles manuelt til SmartRadiator Gatewayen via SmartRadiator PC software: 192.168.0.222. Hent software til dit system direkte fra TrickleStars hjemmeside www.tricklestar.com. Installer softwaren på din pc. Softwaren starter automatisk, og software interface vises i din browser. 6.3 Installation af enheder For at muliggøre kommunikation mellem SmartRadiator enheder, skal enhederne Inkluderes til Gatewayen. Enhederne skal installeres rum for rum og i hvert rum en enhed af gangen. For at gøre dette, skal du gøre følgende: Installer den enhed, du ønsker at Inkludere til SmartRadiator systemet (f.eks SmartRadiator Kontroller) ved at følge instruktionerne i den relevante betjeningsvejledning. Vælg New Device i softwaren for at aktivere SmartRadiator Gatewayens Inkluderings-tilstand. I PC softwaren, klik på Next. Tildel et navn til enheden. Tildel enheden til et rum. Følg samme procedure for alle de andre enheder, som du ønsker at Inkludere i SmartRadiator system. 6.4 Opsætning af internet-kontrol Hvis du vil være i stand til at styre dit system ved hjælp af Internet Kontrol funktionen eller via en smartphone, så skal din internetadgang være aktiveret og internet kontrol kan konfigureres. Konfigurer din bruger portal ved hjælp af det installeret PC software. I PC softwaren klik på Internet Control og følg vejledningen. Du kan nu nemt styre og konfigurere dit SmartRadiator systemet både i hjemmet og via internettet. 9
7. Gendannelse af fabriksindstillinger SmartRadiator Gatewayen kan nulstilles til den oprindelige frabrikstilstand. Når fabriksindstillingerne er gendannet, vil alle oplysninger om Inkluderet enheder og indstillinger gå tabt. Afbryd SmartRadiator Gatewayen fra strømforsyningen, og vent 1 minut. Tryk og hold reset knappen og samtidig tilslut strømforsyningen. Power lysdioden til lyse derefter begynder at blinke. Power lysdioden lyser konstant når fabriksindstillingerne er gendannet. 10

9. Oplysninger om betjening af radioen Radiotransmission udføres på en ikke-eksklusiv transmissionsfrekvens, hvilket betyder, at der er mulighed for interferens. Interferens kan være forårsaget af kontakt afbrydelser, elektriske motorer eller defekte elektriske apparater. Rækkevidden af transmission inden for bygninger kan afvige meget fra den, der findes i fri luft. Udover sendeeffekten og modtager karakteristika, har miljømæssige faktorer såsom fugt en vigtig rolle for kommunikationsrækkevidde, ligeldes har bygningens struktur og materiale betydning. Rengør produktet med en blød, fnugfri klud, som er ren og tør. Du kan fugte kluden en smule med lunkent vand for at fjerne mere genstridige mærker. Brug ikke rengøringsmidler, der indeholder opløsningsmidler, da de kan ætse produktet og etiket. Afbryd enheden fra strømforsyningen, før påbegyndelse af rengøring. 12

1. Intended use The SmartRadiator Gateway provides a user-friendly means of configuring SmartRadiator components with the SmartRadiator PC software and the SmartRadiator Internet portal. It can also be used to query the status of your rooms. The SmartRadiator Gateway links the SmartRadiator devices and the control via a PC and an Internet connection and stores any configurations that you have made. The SmartRadiator Gateway (and therefore the entire SmartRadiator system) can be controlled in various ways using your existing Internet connection: Via the local SmartRadiator PC software Via SmartRadiator Internet control Via the SmartRadiator App, which is a smartphone application Configuration settings for all terminals are made via the user-friendly local SmartRadiator PC software. Different settings can be made for individual rooms. Settings (e.g. weekly profiles) are transmitted to thesmartradator Controllers in the system (so these also function independently without the SmartRadiator Gateway). The device may only be operated indoors and must be protected from the effects of damp and dust, as well as solar or heat radiation. Using this device for any purpose other than that described in this operating manual does not fall within the scope of intended use and shall invalidate any warranty or liability. This also applies to any conversion or modification work. This device is intended for private use only. 15
2. Overview Top 1 : Power: The LED indicates whether a power supply is present and if the device is ready for operation. Internet: The LED indicates whether a connection to the network/smart- Radiator Portal exists. Battery: The LED indicates whether the battery needs to be replaced on a SmartRadiator Component. 3. Safety instructions This device is not a toy; do not allow children to play with it. Do not leave packaging material lying around, as it can be dangerous in the hands of a child. Do not open the device: it does not contain any components that need to be serviced by the user. In the event of an error, please return the device to our service department. 4. Instructions for disposal Do not dispose of the device with regular domestic waste! Electronic equipment must be disposed of at local collection points for waste electronic equipment in compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive. The CE Marking is simply an official symbol relating to the free movement of a product; it does not warrant a product s characteristics. 5. Mounting The SmartRadiator Gateway can be fastened to the wall or stood up on its feet. Use the wall bracket if you wish to mount the SmartRadiator Gatewayon a wall: Use a pen to mark the bore hole positions (a) of the wall mount on the wall. Use a drill to make the holes as 17
illustrated (a). Use the screws and plugs supplied to fasten the bracket to the wall. Once the wall bracket is in place, the SmartRadiator Gateway can be attached to the wall bracket from above, with the opening pointing down. 6. Setting up thesmartradiator system System set-up involves the following steps, which are described below: Connecting the SmartRadiator Gateway Installing the SmartRadiator PC software Installing and Including in the SmartRadiator devices Setting up Internet control 6.1 Connecting the SmartRadiator Gateway 1. Connect the SmartRadiator Gateway to the power supply: The SmartRadiator Gateway draws its power supply from the plug-in main adapter included in the scope of supply. 18 Attention: To avoid damaging the device, please only use the original main adapter supplied with the device for the power supply. Plug the USB main adapter supplied into a socket outlet. Connect the SmartRadiator Gateway and the main adapter with the USB cable. Use the USB port on the side of
the device (2) for this purpose (see diagram on page 16). The power LED starts to flash as soon as the SmartRadiator Gateway initiates a self-test. The power LED lights up continuously once the selftest has been successfully completed and the power supply is present. 2. Connect the SmartRadiator Gateway to the router/ PC: Connect the SmartRadiator Gateway to a router. To do this, plug the network cable supplied with the device into the designated port (1) on the side of the SmartRadiator Gateway (see diagram on page 16). Connect the other end of the cable to a free slot on your router. Connect the router to your PC. The Internet LED starts to flash as soon as the connection to the router is active. After a brief delay, the Internet LED lights up continuously. The connection to the SmartRadiator Internet Portal is active and the SmartRadiator Gateway is now ready for operation. Alternatively, the SmartRadiator Gateway can be supplied with power via a USB port on a router or a computer. Please note that in the case of some models, the USB voltage is no longer available once 19
the device has been switched off. If the power supply to the SmartRadiator Gateway is interrupted, the thermostats in the rooms continue to regulate the temperature independently. The SmartRadiator Gateway serves as the interface to the SmartRadiator PC software, to a SmartRadiator Eco Button and as a central data store. 6.2 Installing the SmartRadiator software/ system requirements You need the SmartRadiator PC software to Include SmartRadiator components via the SmartRadiator Gateway, for configuration purposes and to call up device status messages. The SmartRadiator Gateway must be supplied with power and connected to router for the installation of the SmartRadiator PC software. When the SmartRadiator Gateway is being set up, DHCP must be activated on the router. Alternatively, the following address can be manually assigned to the SmartRadiator Gateway via the SmartRadiator PC software: 192.168.0.222. Download the software for your system by following the link provided in the enclosed Quick Start Guide (under Download and install software ) or directly from TrickleStars website www.tricklestar.com Install the software on your PC. The software launches automatically and the software interface is displayed in your browser. 20
System requirements: Operating system: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.5 or higher Browser: Internet Explorer Version 7.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox Version 3.6.16 or higher, Safari Version 5 or higher, Google Chrome Version 8 or higher 6.3 Installing the devices In order to enable communication between SmartRadiator components, the devices have to be Included to one another. The devices should be installed room by room and, within rooms, one device at a time. To do this, proceed as follows: Install the device that you want to Include on the Smart- Radiator system (e.g. SmartRadiator Controller) by following the instructions in the relevant operating manual. Select New device in the software to switch the Smart- Radiator Gateway to Inclusion mode. Set the device that you want to Include on the SmartRadiator system (e.g. SmartRadiator Controller) to Inclusion mode by following the instructions in the relevant operating manual. The device appears in the software. In the software, click Next. Assign a name for the device. Allocate the device to a room. Follow the same procedure for all the other devices that you want to Includeeq on thesmartradiator system. 21
6.4 Setting up Internet control If you want to be able to control your system using the Internet control feature or via a smartphone, then Internet access must also be enabled and Internet control must be set up. Please note that the SmartRadiator Gateway can only be accessed with the SmartRadiator Internet control feature if the local SmartRadiator PC software is inactive. Set up your user account for portal operation using the local SmartRadiator PC software. Therefore, click Internet control and follow the instructions. You now have a flexible means of controlling and configuring your SmartRadiator system and can access it from home as well as via the Internet. 7. Restoring the factory settings The SmartRadiator Gateway can be reset to the initial state manually. When the factory settings are restored, all information about Included devices and all settings made are lost and cannot be retrieved. Disconnect the SmartRadiator Gateway from the power supply and wait for 1 minute. 22
Press and hold down the reset button and at the same time reconnect the power supply. The Power LED lights up and then starts to flash. The Power LED then lights up permanently again. The factory settings are restored. 8. 9. Information about radio operation Radio transmission is performed on a non-exclusive transmission path, which means that there is a possibility of interference occurring. Interference can also be caused by switching operations, electrical motors or defective electrical devices. The range of transmission within buildings can differ greatly from that available in the open air. Besides the transmitting power and the reception characteristics of the receiver, environmental factors such as humidity in the vicinity have an important role to play, as do on-site structural/screening conditions. You can find the full declaration of conformity at www.tricklestar.com. 10. Maintenance and cleaning The product does not require any maintenance. Enlist the help of an expert to carry out any repairs. Clean the product using a soft, lint-free cloth that is clean and dry. You may dampen the cloth a little with lukewarm water in order to remove more stubborn marks. Do not use any detergents containing solvents, as they could corrode the plastic housing and label. Disconnect the device from the power supply system before commencing cleaning. 24
