Fuel flexibility In addition to the increase of efficiency, the Danish power industry had to face the issues related to fuel flexibility The energy model of Denmark had to adapt to the primary energy market in order to: Be independent from large sources of primary energy that may capture the power industry Adapt to new possibility of sources of cheap primary energy Follow the trend of demand for cleaner technology and renewable energy Be load flexible in order to maximise the use of wind energy Combine all the above points

Hazira: multi fuel boiler for a steel mill complex Essar steel mill complex BWE has awarded a contract for the supply of two drum type boilers for power and steam production for the Hazira steel mill complex (Gujarat-India). The two Drum Boilers are designed to fire a number of different fuels. Main fuels are COREX Gas and COREX Coal besides a variety of other coal types. The boilers are, however, also capable of firing: COREX Coal Fines, Corex Coal Dust, HFO and LDO.
Ultra Super Critical Boiler Technology for the power industry Worlds highest efficiency decrease of CO2 use less fuel per produced MWh BWE Hybrid Multi Fuel concept Coal, oil, gas and biomass used on the same boiler individually or simultaneously Fast reaction time on power demand BWE boiler very fast ramp-up time (5% / Min)
What BWE can offer to Russian market? - Efficient hybrid power production - Use of local biomass - Potential local earnings Build new plants (small or large) using BWE hybrid- or biomass-concept using proven technology Retrofit and upgrade old plants by using BAT Use the multi fuel concept in new builds and retrofits (Same boiler can use coal, gas, oil and biomass)
What BWE is doing/could do in the russian market? Cooperation with local boiler manufacturers for new technology introduction for high efficiency power boilers Cooperation with Russian utilities for conversion of old power plants to multi fuel technology BWE has started development of cooperation with Russian companies but so far developments or contracts have been achieved.
