1 Fig.1:Generationofattractorsbythresholdperturbationcontrol Content: Nonlinear electric circuits including switching devices (e.g., multiplexer, relay, diode) are composed by both continuous flows and discrete events. These hybrid systems often specify bifurcations of periodic attractors and exhibit chaotic motions. We have developed a numerical analysis methodology for bifurcations in such systems for threshold values by computing variations about it. Bifurcation diagrams of periodic solutions can be obtained accurately. As an application of this technology, we demonstrate generation of periodic attractors (Fig. 1) by combining several switching manifolds, and controlling chaos in hybrid systems (Fig. 2) by using the perturbation of a switching threshold value. The key points of these trials are: (1) all required information is given by numerical integration of variational equations, (2) threshold perturbations are realized by less control energy compared with the conventional control technologies. We now tackle to analyze and control the hybrid system including a hysteresis characteristics which is also described by flows and events. 2 <> Left Monitoring in 3D Coding the motion Right Hula-hoop Analysis Feedback Content: The research focuses on a supporting framework that contributes motor-skill learners of repeating motions. The concrete target of repeating motion is hula-hoop at beginning. It has several characteristics such as manipulating an object, in room, simple motion. The supporting process we have in mind is shown in the left figure. To start, the system monitors the 3D motion and create a series of motion-code. Then, it will automatically analyses the coded motion in a wave form. There are several types of known wave pattern based on our initial discussions. After this process, the system makes the feedback model and gives the visible feedback image. A learner can identify which body-part and a way of movement should be improved from the current way of movement. In fact, the supporting process described above is associated with the assumption about the human process of motor-skill learning. The process includes cognition, motion selection, actual motion and storing result. We have to discuss the human process deeply and design the framework based on the discussion. We try to propose the designing issue and its implementation of a supporting system assisting the whole process mentioned above. 3 Fig.1 incremental learning Content: We can learn a CPU architecture and its behavior from a simple CPU architecture model or a software CPU emulater. However, actual worked CPU architecture is very complex, and have some great understanding of the wall for the learner. Therefore, we need some CPU implementations to understand them for step-by-step learning (Fig. 1), In our study, we aim to develop some implementations of CPU and associated hardware using a hardware description language VHDL on a rewritable IC FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). The learner is able to rewrite the hardware using these implementation as a template. We selected MIPS-I ISA(Instruction Set Architecture) which has small number of instructions with simple ISA. Further, we implemented the exception handling and memory management unit and other peripheral circuits on FPGAs for running a Unix-based OS NetBSD (Fig 2). 4 Content: In this project, we have developed an IPv6 address assignment method which is based on a popular routing protocol OSPFv3. The developed method is free from address duplication. With this method, we can reduce the amount of manual configurations of routers. This contributes to remove some barriers to introduce IPv6 to a network. Major technical fruits of this project are 1) a layout of an IPv6 host route which shows an address space a network can use, 2) a procedure on each router in a network in order to assign IPv6 addresses without duplication and 3) a mechanism to detect if there is a duplication of router ID. In the meantime, Japan has frequently suffered from tsunami damage. The tsunami following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake caused unprecedented damage. The Nankai Trough Megaquake are predicted to cause devastating tsunami damage. The wide area flood disasters as the 2015 Kanto and Tohoku heavy rain are often generated. If such a disaster has occurred, in order to protect the lives of people, organizations with a public nature, such as municipalities, medical institutions, social welfare facilities need to provide disaster emergency services. In order to protect the health of the children of the mind and body, such as elementary and junior high schools are expected to resume education as soon as possible. In addition, it is expected in the same manner as in early resumption also the construction industry and manufacturing Through the investigation of the recovery process of various organizations which affected by the disaster, we will propose the business continuity strategy in each organization and will support their business continuity activities. Our research achievements in threedimensional slope stability analysis, back calculations of shear strengths of landslide soils, remedial works of large landslides and rockfall numerical simulations have been published as original papers in top-rank international journals in geotechnical engineering, such as Soils & Foundations, Canadian Geotechnical Journal, Computers & Geotechnics, and ASCE Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering. His research applies a baroclinic flow model, ecosystem model and Tsunami model to manage a coastal environment. Also, he have joined a public project for developing a biological purification techniques for eutrophic coastal waters (Fig.1). It comprises the Intellectual Property and legal Division, the Innovation Division, and the Research Administration Division. It also serves as the general point of contact for research support and industry, academia and government collaboration with the university. We have achieved synergy and a nimble organization with the Research Strategy Office in Tokushima University. As a result of that, Tokushima University was ranked 5 th for the institution whose income from patent rights increased dramatically and 11 th for the amount of income from patent rights in 1,036 research institutes in Japan, according to the survey of MEXT. Although we have limited human resource and budget, we keep trying to make the organization function better, and supporting the academic research and academic-industrial collaboration, with our wisdom.
