The Copenhagen Urban Network is a Danish organization with a membership of 115 companies. The goal of the organization is to promote sound urban development and renovation of buildings. The members comprise architects, engineers, contractors, financing institutes, manufacturers, ITconsultants, lawyers, municipalities and ministries. The organization celebrates its 10-year anniversary in 2005 with this study tour to New York City from the 21 st of September to the 25 th of September, 2005. We are 51 participants and have planned the following schedule.
2 Day 1 Wednesday, the 21st of September Arrival and individual exploration of the City. Meeting time - and latest check-in at Terminal 3: 09:15 am. Meeting time in Tivolicaféen: 10:00 am. Guides: Robert Cane Architect PLLC and Developer Dan Brodsky. 10:30 am: Meeting with Cane and Brodsky at small theater recently built on West 42nd St. Q&A about the project and about being a developer and an architect in New York. The Full Island Cruise. 3-hour cruise as you discover the secrets of the city. You'll circumnavigate Manhattan Island and see it all - 3 rivers, 7 major bridges, 5 boroughs, over 25 world renowned landmarks and, of course, a magnificent close-up of the Statue of Liberty. Professional arrangement #4: 09:00: Joint guided tour in Midtown and Midtown East to see some of the great buildings of NYC: Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Centre, Central Station, Chrysler Building, NYC Public Library, the MET and so on. We finish with a drink at a café. Lunch by your own. Afternoon: Individual exploration of the city. Last chance for shopping!
