Konfigurering af CD ORD Floating License Server på servermaskine NB: Produktet skal aktiveres direkte på servermaskinen og kan ikke aktiveres remotely 1. Åben Start 2. Åben Alle programmer 3. Åben Floating License Manager 4. Åbn CD ORD 8 5. Klik på CD ORD 8 Floating License Manager 6. Klik på Internet Activate 7. Indtast aktiveringsnøgle i feltet License Number: 8. Klik på knappen Activate (Når du har klikket på knappen Activate, vil teksten blive nedtonet og det er ikke muligt at klikke mere før processen er afsluttet.)

Administrativ installation af CD ORD (klient) NB: Der skal foretages en administrativ installation inden udrulning eller enkeltstående installation af CD-ORD, hvor der peges på den lokale CD-ORD Floating License. 1. Vælg Start > Alle programmer > Tilbehør > Kommandoprompt 2. Indtast følgende: cd.. 3. Indtast følgende: cd administrator 4. Indtast følgende: msiexec.exe /a [sti til installationsfiler]\mvlicense_example.msi targetdir=[sti til den nye msifil] NALPEIRON_SERVERNAME=[Netbiosnavn til server] /l*v [sti til logfil]\install.log 5. De nye filer kopieres til den eksisterende installationsmappe og erstatter tidligere udgaver 6. Herefter kan normal installation/udrulning af CD ORD (klient) foretages med de nye installationsfiler. Installation kan foretages fra netværksshare, USB stick, DVD eller andet medie. Eksempel: msiexec.exe /a c:\cd-ord.msi targetdir=d:\cd-ord NALPEIRON_SERVERNAME=[Netbiosnavn til server] /l*v d:\cd\install.log Parameterforklaring: msiexec.exe: Program til afvikling af msi-filer (windows installer filer). /a: Udfører en administrativ installation af et produkt/program f:\cd ord.msi: Sti hvorfra programmet installeres Stien skal tilrettes efter de aktuelle forhold. Såfremt man afvikler direkte fra CD/DVD skal man kun ændre drevbogstav targetdir=d:\cd ORD: Sti hvor de nye/tilrettede filer skal placeres NALPEIRON_SERVERNAME=[Netbiosnavn til server]: Indsætter sti til CD ORD Floating Licens Server /l*v = Logger alle informationer incl. Verbose Output excl. Tjek ud af netværkslicenser til hjemmebrug NB: Vejledningen er på engelsk og er et uddrag af manualen til CD-ORD Floating License Server OVERVIEW: Licenses or license "seats" can be "checked out" from the license server. The only connection between the server and the computer checking out the license is the LAN connection itself. Licenses are checked out for a specific length of time designated by the person checking out the license. For example, a license can be checked out for a weekend. During the time the license is checked out, that license seat will not be available on the server. Licenses can be checked out for periods of 1 to 365 days, including the day the license is checked out. For example, if the day is Friday and an administrator wishes to allow a user to check out a license for the weekend, he or she will set the check out period to be 3 days: that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. At midnight Sunday, the product will cease working on the s computer. However, Monday morning the user can return the license and the license seat will again be available on the server. LIMITS: The license must be checked out to a workstation on the LAN. Evaluation licenses cannot be checked out. One license must always remain on the server. Checked out licenses cannot utilize functions that are limited by the number of uses. Licenses cannot be checked out from a Citrix server. HOW TO CHECKOUT A LICENSE: LICENSES ARE CHECKED OUT USING THE NETNLS MANAGER AND THE NETNLS CHECKOUT UTILITY:
To checkout a license for a mobile user it s a simple exchange of request and authorization numbers between the mobile computer and the network administrator. To start the exchange the end user runs the license checkout utility (supplied with your application and installed at each client workstation) and an authorization request number will be displayed. The mobile user runs the netnls Checkout Utility then the user copies the authorization request number and sends a checkout request (e.g. via email or phone) to the network administrator. The authorization request number can be easily copied using the copy button next to the number in the utility. The network administrator receives the checkout request and decides if this individual should be allowed to checkout a license and authorizes the checkout period for the user by using the Manager Utility which is installed on the license server. The network administrator simply presses the paste button to enter the authorization request number into the netnls Manager Utility and sets the days the license may be checked out this may be anywhere from 1 to 365 days. The administrator then clicks
the generate approval number button. If there are free network license seats an approval code is generated. NOTE: The number of floating license seats is not subtracted until the workstation user actually checks out the license. After that, it is as simple as pressing the copy button and pasting the approval number in a return email to the person requesting permission to check out a license. The end user receives the authorization number, copies it, and then presses the paste button beside the Authorization Approval Number dialog box. After pasting the authorization approval number, he or she then presses the Check out license button and the product is now licensed on that standalone PC. Returning the license is even easier. Upon returning the computer, the user simply runs the netnls Checkout Utility and presses the return license button. It s all done. The license seat is restored to the floating license seat pool.
