2 Wearelookingforathletesthataredriven,dedicatedandarereadyto learn.ourprovenprogram isdesignedtoencourageourathletesto reachtheirfulpotential.havingapositiveatitudeandmentaltoughness arepartofbeingagreatcheerleaderandaproductiveyoungadult. Wewelcomeathletesofalagestothetryoutprogram.Wehavemultiple teams,andourathletes agesrangefrom 5to18yearsold.Wehave teamsforavarietyofskillevels,however,asanalstarprogram,we expectalofourathletestocomewithanopenmindandtofilany positionthatisrequired.thestafwilworktogethertocomeupwith teamsthathavethebestpossiblechancesofhavingasuccessful competitiveseason.thismeansthateachteam wilbecomprisedofa varietyofathleteswithavarietyoftalents. Themostobviouswaythatwehelptheathletesinourprogram isby beteringtheirskilsandhelpingthem reachtheirathleticpotential; however,webelieveourprogram servesahigherpurpose.throughout ourlives,weareregularlyputinsituationswherewemustworktogether withotherstoachievecommongoals.teamworkisalifetimelessonmore valuablethantumblingskils.additionaly,thehours,weeks,monthsand evenyearsofworkthatgointoimprovingstunts,tumbling,jumpsand motionswilimproveyourathlete sfitness,skilsandchancesofcheering incolege.moreimportantly,athleteslearnaboutsportsmanship,working togethertowardgoals,andstrivingtowin.wehavecolectedmorethan enoughtrophies,banners,medalsandjacketstofilourgym,butweare mostproudofthelifelessonsthatwehavebeenabletogivetothe athletesinourprogram. Ourteamshavewonmultipleregional,nationalandgrand championshipsrangingfrom CheerPowertoNCAandUCA. From ouryoungestteamstoourmostseniorathletes,ourteams haveexperiencedsuccessatallevels.wealsohavewon multiplechoreographyandshowmanshipawardsfrom avariety ofcompetitions,includingncaanduca. Ourfriendlyandtalentedstaf,alongwithourgreatgroupofparentsandkids, haveworkedhardinmakingthegym whatitistoday.beinginvolvedwith competitivecheerleadingisatimeconsumingcommitmentfrom boththe cheerleaderandtheparents.itisthroughourjointefortsinworkingtogetherina positiveenvironmentthatwewilatainourgoalsandcontinueoursuccessforthe upcomingyear. Ourgoalistoform teamswithathletesofsimilarskilsandabilities.beingselected foraspecificteam doesnotmeanthatyouwilnotbere-evaluatedduringthe year.asyouimprove,youmayhavetheopportunitytoadvancetoahigher-level team ifthereisspaceavailable. Ourprogram ispresentlyinitsfifteenthfulyearofexistence.wehavealready establishedourselvesinthecheerleadingcommunityandhavewonnumerous competitions and NationalTitles.Texas AlStar Cheer is a competitive cheerleadingprogram andisnotforeveryone.weprideourselvesonbeingnew andinnovativewithourroutinesandchoreography.wedemandexcelence through success and hard work.noteveryone who atends tryouts wil necessarilymakeateam;suchwildependuponageandskil. 9 TexasAlstarCheer&Danceathleteswilbeheldtoahighstandardofmoralcharacter.Ourgoalistosuround ourselveswithpositiveathleteswhostrivetoreachbothteam andpersonalgoals.parentsshouldreviewthefollowingobligationswithyourathleteexplainingeachone.bothparentandathleteshouldsignatthebotom ofthe pageagreeingtoupholdeachstandard. 1.)Iunderstandthatthisisafulseason,uptooneyear,commitmentandthatateam isdependingonmetofulfilmy responsibilitiesasateam member.iwilnotgiveup,quitorthreatentoquitduringmyteam membership. 2.)Iwilcometopracticewithapositiveatitudeandworkhardtoachievepersonalgoalsandhelpmyteam toreach theteam goalsthatmycoacheshaveset.irealizethatapositiveatitudeiscontagious,andiwildomybestto influencemyteammatesinapositivemanner. 3.)Iwilnotuseprofanityatpracticesorcompetitions. 4.)Iwildemonstrategoodsportsmanshiptoteammates,parents,coaches,judges,cheercompanystafandrival teams.thisincludesnobad-mouthing,spreadingrumors,foullanguage,inappropriateactions,andspeakingpoorly ofthetexasalstarcheer&danceprogram. 5.)IwilnotmisusetheInternet,socialmediasites,or sinrelationtoTexasAlstarCheer&Dance.This includes,butisnotlimitedto,coaches,staf,andteammates. 6.)Iwilnotbringanyfood,gum,candy,orsodaintothegym area.iwilleavealofthisoutsideofthegym.ican bringwaterandgatoradeintothedesignatedareas. 7.)Iwilalwaysshowrespectforthecoaches,felowteammates,otherTexasAlstarCheer&Danceathletes, parents,judges,oficialsandspectators.disrespectfulbehaviorwilresultindismissal. 8.)Iwilstrivetobeintopphysicalconditionandworkmyhardestduringconditioningdrils,sothatIcangetthemost outofeverypractice. 9.)Iwilcometopracticeontimeandberesponsibleformyteam stimesanddays,sothatiam adedicated teammateandshowaccountabilitytomyparentsforthisprivilege. 10.)Iunderstandthatalsquadandroutinedecisionsarelefttothediscretionofthecoaches. 11.)Iwillearnandobeytheteam andgym rulessetforthbymycoaches. 12.)IwilwearproperatiretopracticesasrecommendedbyTexasAlstarCheer&Dance.Iwilwearnojewelry,wil wearmyhairpuledbackandwilhaveathleticlengthnails. 13.)Iwilcometocompetitiondaywithmyhair,make-up,anduniform warm-upreadyforcompetitionaccordingto gym specifications. 10 AsaparentofaTexasAlstarCheer&Danceathlete,youplayanimportantroleinyourchild ssuccessinourprogram.itisagoodreminderto parentstoobserveacodeofconductsothatwearemutualyonthesamepage,unitingforthecommongoalsofourchildren.texasalstar Cheer&Dancedesirestonotonlyhavegreatathletes,butalsogreatfamilieswhocareaboutupholdingourhighstandards.Parentsshould readthroughthefolowingobligationandsignatthebotom agreeingtoupholdeachstandard. 1.)Iunderstandthatthisafulseasoncommitment,uptooneyear,andthatateam isdependingonmychildtofulfilresponsibilitiesasateam member.i promisetokeepmychildcommitedforthedurationoftheseason. 2.)Iwilteachmychildtoberespectfulataltimes,andifmychildisinvolvedinamaterofdisrespecttowardsanymemberorstafatTexasAlstarCheer& Dance,Iwilresolvethisproblem withmychildimmediately. 3.)Iwildemonstrategoodsportsmanshiptomychild steammates,otherparents,coaches,judges,cheercompanystafandrivalteams. 4.)Iwilnotmisusetheaccessibilityofcommunicatingthrough orGroupMetomyTexasAlstarCheer&Dancecoachesandwiladdressissueswithcare andrespect. 5.)Iwiltrustmychild scoachesandtheirdecisions.iwilalowthetexasalstarcheer&dancecoachestoexercisetheircoachingskilsandnotintervenewith practices. 6.)Iwilpreparetogetmychildtopracticeontimeandstayforitsentirety.Intheeventthatmychildislate,Irealizethatmychildwilhavetowarm upand stretchproperlyashis/herteammatesdid,butthismayrequiremychildtodoitalone. 7.)Iwilsendmychildtocompetitionreadytogoaccordingtogym specifications,suchasproperuniform andshoes,hair,makeup,andbow. 8.)Iunderstandthatthecoachesreservetherighttosuspendmychild sparticipationindefinitelyinpracticeorcompetitionasadisciplinaryactioniftheyviolate theathletecodeofconduct. 9.)Irealizethatcheercompaniesthathostcompetitionsalsohavecodesofconductthatincludeparentactions,andpoorsportsmanshipbyparentscancause deductionsordisqualificationsformychild steam.iwildemonstrategoodsportsmanshipasatexasalstarcheer&danceparent. 10.)IfIhaveaconcernaboutmychild scoachesorteam member,iwilcontactmarceliottoresolvetheissue.iagreethatthisconversationwiltakeplacein privateandwilnottakeplaceinfrontof,orwithinhearingrangeof,anystudentsorparents. 11.)Iunderstandthattheparentviewingareaatourfacilityisavailableforparentstowatchtheirchild spractice.whileatthefacilityorcompetitionvenue,iwil notuseinappropriatelanguage,andiwilnotspeaknegativelyaboutmychild steammates,parents,theprogram,facility,staf,orothercheerprograms.while atthefacility,iagreethatiwilnotcorectorcoachmychild steammatesormychildregardingcheerperformances.iwilonlymakepositivecomments.i understandthatiwilbeaskedtonotcomeintotheparentviewingareaifimakenegativecomments. 12.)IunderstandthatImustsignaCreditCardAuthorizationform inorderformychildtoparticipateintheprogram.iwilkeepthecreditcardinformation updated.ifnot,iunderstandmychildcanbedroppedfrom theprogram duetoadelinquentaccount. 13.)IwilnotalowmychildtoquitcheerleadingatTexasAlstarCheer&Dancebecausetheteam lostacompetition.iunderstandthateveryteam winssome competitionsandlosessomecompetitions.whatevertheoutcomeofanycompetition,iagreetocontinualysupportmychild,theteam andthecoaches.i understandthatovercomingobstacleswilmakemychild,andmychild steam,strongerinthefuture.iwilsupporttheteam duringthewholeseason. 14.)IagreethatIwilnotusetheTexasAlstarCheer&Dancenameoranyvariationofthenameinmy address.IalsounderstandthatifIam caught sendinginappropriatemessagesthrough oronsocialmedia,itwilresultintheimmediateremovalofmychildfrom thetexasalstarcheer&dance program. 15.)IagreethatIwilconductmyselfinamannerthatisrespectfulandcourteouswhilewearingTACapparelorateventsatwhichTACisparticipating. Alfamiliesmusthaveacurentcreditcardordebitcardonfile,regardlessofhoweachfamilypaystuitioneachmonth. 4.) Allatepaymentswilincura$25.00latefee. 5.) AnyreturnedchecksorNSF(non-suficientfunds)wilincura$35.00processingfee. 6.) Ifastudentsaccountismorethan30dayspastduewithnoatempttoreconcilethepastduebalance,theathletewilbesuspendedfrom his/her program untiltheaccountbalanceispaidinful. 7.) Intheeventthatanathlete'saccountreaches60dayspastdue: a.) 2latefeechargesof$25eachwilbeaddedtotheaccount. b.) Thestudentwilbedroppedfrom alenrolments. c.) CConfilewilbechargedfor½ thebalance. d.) Thestudentwilnotbeabletobere-enroleduntilthepastduebalanceispaidinful. CancelationorDropClassPolicy: TumbleandFlightClasses: WRITTENnotificationisrequiredtodropaclass.Notificationswilreflectthedaterequestedandwilnotincuratuitionfeeforthefolowingmonth. Al-StarCheerTeams: a.) TACcolectsmonthlytuitionbydirectlybilingyourcreditordebitcardfortheamountindicatedthatyearandyourtotalchargeswil appearonyourmonthlycreditordebitcardstatement. month. b.)
