Hvad er en modtageklasse? En modtageklasse er en klasse med særligt fokus på undervisning i det danske sprog. Klassestørrelsen vil være på 6-8 elever. Eleverne vil max. kunne sprede sig over tre årgange i en modtageklasse. Undervisningen foregår i et tæt samarbejde med den almenklasse, hvor eleven er tilmeldt. Hvem kan komme i modtageklasse? Elever, der ikke har noget kendskab til det danske sprog. Elever, der har et meget begrænset kendskab til det danske sprog og derfor ikke får et fagligt udbytte af udelukkende at deltage i undervisningen i almenklassen. Hvor længe kan en elev gå i modtageklassen? En elev kan højst gå to år i modtageklassen. Hvad kan eleven gøre efter skoletid? Eleven kan gå i Skolefritidsordning (SFO) på nærmeste distriktsskole. Eleven kan gå i SFO på den skole, hvor modtageklassen er placeret.
Hvordan kommer eleven til modtageklassen? Elevens behov for transport vurderes i forhold til almindelige gælderne regler for transport af skoleelever. Tønder Kommune betaler transportudgifterne. Hvordan følges elevens udvikling? Elevens sprogkendskab og -færdigheder evalueres ved opstart i modtageklassen. Når eleven er startet i modtageklassen, vurderes udviklingen hver 3. måned. Hvordan er samarbejdet mellem dagtilbud og skole? Har en elev brug for at starte i modtageklasse ved overgangen mellem dagtilbud og skole, inddrages tosprogskonsulenterne fra Pædagogisk Psykologisk Rådgivning (PPR). Hvad gælder, når eleven skal være fuldt inkluderet i almenklassen? Eleven skal fortsætte på nærmeste distriktsskole. Eleven kan vælge at fortsætte på den Distriktsskole, hvor eleven har gået i modtageklasse. Det vil så være på de vilkår, der gælder ved frit skolevalg.
What is an induction class? An induction class is a class with particular focus on teaching in the Danish language. An induction class has 6-8 pupils. The ages of the pupils in an induction class will exhibit a spread of no more than 3 years. Teaching takes place in close cooperation with the normal class in which the pupil is enrolled. Who is eligible for a place in an induction class? Pupils that have no knowledge of the Danish language. Pupils that have very limited knowledge of the Danish language and are therefore unable to benefit from participating solely in lessons in a normal class. How long can a pupil attend the induction class? A pupil can attend the induction class for a maximum of 2 years. What can the pupil do at the end of the school day? The pupil can attend the after-school care facility (SFO) at the nearest district school. The pupil can attend the after-school care facility at the school at which the induction class is located.
How does the pupil travel to the induction class? The pupil s need for transport is assessed in accordance with the generally applicable rules for transport of school pupils. The municipal authority pays the transport costs. How can the pupil s development be monitored? The pupil s knowledge and proficiency in relation to the language are evaluated when commencing the induction class. When the pupil has commenced lessons in the induction class, his or her development is assessed every 3 months. What about the degree of cooperation between the day-care institution and the school? If a pupil needs to start in the induction class when making the transition between the day-care institution and the school, bilingual consultants from the educational psychology services (Pædagogisk Psykologisk Rådgivning (PPR)) are brought in. What is applicable when the pupil is to be fully integrated into a normal class? The pupil must continue at the nearest district school. The pupil can choose to continue at the district school where he or she attended the induction class. This will then take place on the terms and conditions that apply to free choice of school.
