Det er en stor glæde at kunne indbyde til ÅBENT HUS HOS E-VET den 5. september 2015 Det er nu tre år siden vi sidst holdt Åbent Hus, og vi føler tiden er inde til igen at slå dørene op i E-Vet! For tre år siden deltog 650 mennesker. Den 5. september 2015 håber vi på at byde velkommen til mindst lige så mange og gerne flere. Både dyrlæger, veterinærsygeplejersker, klinikassistenter og andre med tilknytning til dyreklinikker og dyrehospitaler er velkomne på dagen. E-vet s medarbejdere bestræber sig på at leve op til vores motto om at være dyrlægens sikre samarbejdspartner. Derfor har alle vores veluddannede medarbejdere fokus på at kunne vejlede om produkter og levere kvalitet. Dette får vi lejlighed til at vise ved vores Åbent Hus den 5. september. E-vets medarbejdere er alle dygtige og engagerede og besidder specialviden inden for hver deres felt. Vi vil fremvise vores lokaler, præsentere vores produkter og udstyr og ikke mindst tilbyde en lang række spændende foredrag. Samtidig vil vi i samarbejde med vores mange leverandører præsentere en stor teknisk udstilling. Det bliver en dag med fokus på højt fagligt indhold, spændende udstilling fra vores leverandører, gode tilbud og ikke mindst afslutning med et brag af en oktoberfest om aftenen. CV Speakers Chris Pearce Chris Pearce has extensive experience at all levels in equine dentistry. Chris qualified from Liverpool University in 1990, and was the first vet to pass the BAEDT entry examinations in 2001. He has performed equine dental referral work for over 13 years, lectured widely across Europe, and in 2012 set up The Equine Dental Clinic Ltd, the UK s first equine dental only referral practice where he specialises in novel restorative and minimally invasive procedures. Chris runs regular referral clinics at referral hospitals around the South of England and has performed referral work now for over 90 equine practices. Chris recently passed the first full examination for the new EVDC Diploma in Equine Dentistry joining a small expanding group of European Veterinary Dental Specialists. I 2004 blev han European Veterinary Dental Specialist under European Veterinary Dental College, og i 2006 blev han desuden tildelt den danske titel specialdyrlæge i veterinær odontologi. I 2007 etablerede Jens Ruhnau Tanddyreklinikken i Måløv, som er henvisningsklinik for veterinær odontologi. På Tanddyreklinikken foretages udelukkende tandbehandlinger af mindre husdyr. Jörg M. Steiner med.vet., Dr.med.vet., PhD, DACVIM, DECVIM-CA, AGAF Professor with Tenure, Small Animal Internal Medicine Director, Gastrointestinal Laboratory received his veterinary degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany in 1992. He did an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1993 and a residency in small animal internal medicine at Purdue University from 1993 to 1996. He received his Dr.med.vet. degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany in 1995 in recognition of research on feline trypsin and feline trypsinlike immunoreactivity. In 1996 he achieved board certification with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. In 2000 Dr. Steiner received a PhD from Texas A&M University for his work on canine digestive lipases and their use for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal disorders in the dog. In 2012 was recognized as a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association. He currently serves as Professor with the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at Texas A&M University. Dr. Steiner also serves as Director of the GI Laboratory at Texas A&M University and is involved in a wide variety of research in small animal gastroenterology. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed articles, 70 book chapters, and 300 research abstracts. Denis Verwilghen DVM, MSc, PhD, DES, Dipl ECVS Assiociate Professor in Large Animal Surgery Currently Associate Professor in Large Animal Surgery in Copenhagen, Denis Verwilghen started of his career as an equine veterinarian in private practice in Ireland and the Netherlands immediately after graduation from the University of Ghent in 2003. With the desire to improve his skills, Denis went back to academia end 2004 to become resident in equine surgery at the University of Liege. In 2006 he defended a master in veterinary science degree on the subject of Osteochondrosis and its relationship with IGF-I in the Horse. In 2009 he obtained a specialist diploma (DES) in Large animal Surgery from the University of Liege and in 2010 Denis successfully passed the exam of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. Denis then defended his PhD in Liege about clinical impact of developmental orthopedic diseases (OCD, ) in horses. After spending some time in Sweden as head surgeon at the Equine Surgery Division of the University Animal Hospital in Uppsala, Denis and his wife Gaby, an ECEIM diplomate, moved back to Belgium and started a consultancy based equine medicine and surgery service. Recently, both have been appointed at the Equine hospital of the Copenhagen University. Denis interests lay in general soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Denis has developed a special interest in biosecurity after having been involved in several construction projects and had realized the importance of biosecurity in his daily practice. Denis has a broad range of publications on various aspects of equine surgery with a particular interest in asepsis / basic surgical principles research, orthopedic biomarkers and dentistry. Denis friends have never complained about his ability to produce a tasteful meal, though Denis wife is generally not impressed by the state of the kitchen after dinner, but you all know how medicine people are. Denis main hobbies are running and swimming though cannot remember himself when was the last time he has! Further Denis is a big fan of his sons Thomas and Noah and enjoys reading them stories or changing their daypers, but his wife will tell you again she can t remember when he s done it last ;) Gaby van Galen: Gaby has graduated in 2003 from Ghent University. She has done an internship in a private equine referral clinic in The Netherlands followed by a residency in equine internal medicine and a PhD along her work as clinician at the University of Liege. In 2009, she became a Diplomate of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine. Since January 2013 Gaby works at the university of Copenhagen as a senior clinician, teacher and researcher in equine internal medicine. Gaby is author and coauthor of multiple published scientific articles.
