Werecomend1/2tonneper10sq.metresofArtificialGras. Laytheweedmembraneimmediatelyunderthegras.Thispreventsweed growth,whilstalowingwaterdrainage.itstopsanyseedsfindingtheirwayinto thesandthroughthedrainageholesandgerminating.roloutandpegthe weedmembrane.itneedstocovertheentireareaandtheedgesneedtobe overlapped.trim themembranewithastanleyknifeandsecureinplacewith galvanisednails.
Unrolyourartificialgrasandlayontopofyourpreparedbase,beingcareful nottomovetheweedmembrane.makesurethegraspileisfacingtowards yourhomeormainviewpointasitwilensureafulandnaturallook. Ifthepileisfacingawayfrom yourhome,itwilappearshiny! Ifposible,leavethegrastosetleovernighttoacclimatise andalow anycreasingorwrinklingtofalout. Ifyouarecertainthatthegrasisinthecorectposition,itnow needstobe securedinplace.ifincorporatingtimberbatonsnailsshouldbetappedintothe edgingevery15-20cm.alternatively,fixdowntheedgesoftheartificialgras, usingupins,every15-20cm,ruflingthepiletodisguisethepins. Afterthegrasisinplace,hasbeensecures,andanyjoinscured,(seenextpage)brushupthepileofthe artificialgraswithastifbroom,tostimulatefibres.
Foldback30-40cm oneachsidealongthelengthofthejoinandtrim from theback side,withastanleyknife,approx.20-30mm from eachedge.cutthelatexbacking in-betweenthestitchesandnotthegrasfibres.removeanyexcessseam material (thiswilbefoundononeedgeofa2m widecutorbothedgesona4m cut). Foldthegrasbackovertoenablethejointobechecked.Manoeuvrethetwopieces untiltheyaresquarewitheachother.oncesatisfied,foldbackthegras. Unrolthejointingtape,greensidedown,alongtheentirelengthofthejoin. Secureinplace,tostopthetapemoving. Applytheadhesiveontotherough(white)sideofthejointingyapeina zigzag motion. (Alow 1cartridgeofadhesiveforevery3m ofjointingtape).itisrecommendedtoleave approx.5cm freefrom adhesiveateitheredgeofthetape.speadtheadhesiveevenly downthecentreofthetapeusinganoticedtrowel. Folowingapplication,weightthejointoensureaflat,evenjointisformed. Alow theadhesivetocure(seeadhesiveinstructionsforcuringtimes). Oncesatisfied,andtheadhesiveiscured,completethecutinginandsecurethe artificialgrasinplace. Ifanew subbaseisbeingconstructed,aslightfalshouldbeincorporatedtoassistdrainage.however,ifthereisnofal, itisrecommendedthatafew drainageholesaremadeinthesealedconcrete,toalow therainwatertodrainthrough theartificialgras. Pavingslabsarenotsatisfactory,asthe paternoftheslabsmayshow throughonthesurfaceofthegrass(we recommendtheslabsaretoberemovedandthesubbaasecoveredwithafinelayerofsharpsand,beforeinstalingthe artificialgras). Adhesiveshouldbespotstuckorlooselaidandsecuredalongtheperimeters. Weightsareadvisedtobeplacedonthesurfaceduringtheadvisedcuringtime(seeadhesivefordetails).Alternatively, thesurfacecouldberoledperiodicalyduringthecuringtime.
Inordertomaintainyourgras,itisrecommendedthatonaregularbasisyouremoveanydebrissuch asleavesortwigs.ifleftoveralongperiod,itcouldencourageweedsormostogrow.itisalsoadvised toregularlybrushyourgrastokeepthepileupright,restoringitsnaturalbeauty. Artificialgrasispermeablesoaldogmescanbecleanedandpickedupeasily.Theartificialgras fibreswilremaincompletelyundamaged.rainwilhelpcleanyourartificialgras,butthereare cleaningproductsavailabletoremovepeturinesmelsfrom yourartificialgraspermanently. Usingcleaningproductswilensurethatyourartificialgrasstayslookingandsmelinglikethereal thingalyearround.
