Playground Randers Reb is one of the world s leading producers of Playground Combination Rope. Playground combination rope is a steel reinforced fiber rope used as the main component in climbing nets for children s playgrounds. Our customers are playground manufactures from local net productions to multi national, world leading manufactures of play solutions. We are offering a wide range of rope products, manufactured from a varying array of materials and produced to the highest possible standards all according to customer needs and requirements. Randers Reb develops special Playground combination ropes according to customer needs. We also supply other types of ropes (e.g. square braided fiber ropes and steel wire ropes) used in the playground industry. The R&D work is carried out in close collaboration with customers around the world. We provide consulting services and back-up service with all orders. Production Produktion The establishment of Randers Reb s production in Alytus, a town not far from the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, became the visible proof of the end of a 163-year era in Danish industry. At the same time is was the beginning of a new era as an international manufacturing and trading company. During the course of 2002 production was gradually transferred from the old factory in Randers. Today, all our steel wire- and fiber ropes are produced in our Lithuanian factory. It was not just the production apparatus that was moved to Alytus. A comprehensive training program for the new Lithuanian employees ensured that experience and knowledge of production, logistics and quality control were also transferred. To ensure the well-known Randers Reb Quality also will endure in the years to come Randers Reb Lithuania has obtained the ISO 9000 certification. Etableringen af produktionen i Litauen, i byen Alytus, ikke så langt fra Litauens hovedstad Vilnius, var det markante bevis på afslutningen af en 163 år lang æra i dansk industri. Det var samtidig begyndelsen på en ny æra som international produktions- og handelsvirksomhed. I løbet af 2002 blev al produktion gradvist overført fra den gamle fabrik på Vinkelvej i Randers, og i dag bliver al stål- og fibertov produceret på vores litauiske fabrik. Det er ikke kun produktionsapparatet, der rykkede til Alytus. Et omfattende uddannelsesprogram og oplæring af de nye litauiske medarbejdere sikrer, at også viden og erfaring om produktion, logistik og kvalitetskontrol er fulgt med. Technical information Teknisk information The Product Range includes: Construction: Randers Reb Playground combination ropes are manufactured with 4- or 6-strands closed around a core which either can be a fiber core (FC) or a steel core (IWRC). The center of the strands is made up of extra galvanized steel wires to give excellent corrosion protection and strength. The steel part is tightly covered with synthetic fibers/yarns. Dimensions: Randers Reb produces any rope dimension needed starting from 8 mm. Most common dimension for playgrounds is 16 mm. Combination rope / Taifun Farver: Randers Reb producerer taifun i alle farver. Rød, Blå, Gul, Grøn, Beige og Sort er standard farver. Dimensioner: Randers Reb producerer alle taifun dimensioner fra 8 mm og op. Mest anvendt til legeplads net er 16 mm. 4
Technical information Teknisk information Handling: Playground combination rope delivered in coils: We recommend placing the coil in a turntable. Alternatively, place the coil on the ground and roll out straight. Do not place the coil on the ground and pull the rope out as this will result in formation of kinks and possible deformation of the rope. Playground rope delivered on reels: We recommend passing a shaft through the reel/drum and place it on a stand so that it can revolve, apply a break to the reel to keep the rope tight. Do not take the rope over the edge as this will result in formation of kinks and possible deformation of the rope. 6-strand rope with FC Håndtering: Legeplads taifun leveret i ruller: Vi anbefaler, at placere rullen i en karrusel. Alternativt kan rullen placeres på gulvet og rulles ud. Placer ikke rullen på gulvet og træk taifunen ud, idet dette vil resultere i kinke dannelser og mulig deformation af taifunen. Legeplads taifun leveret på tromler: Vi anbefaler, at skubbe en jernstang igennem tromlen og placere den på et stativ, så den kan rotere. En bremse bør sikre, at taifunen altid er stram. Træk ikke taifunen rundt om flangerne på en liggende tromle, idet dette vil resultere i kinke dannelser og mulig deformation af taifunen. Installation: When installing the Playground rope avoid sharp edges, small bending radius and/or crooked tension in rope. Playground ropes with steel core (IWRC) are normally used as edge ropes due to higher strength and lower elongation. E.g. PUR coated Playground ropes can profitably be used as bottom line or other places where heavy wear occur. Fittings: Randers Reb Playground ropes are designed to be used for all kinds of fittings of plastic, steel, Aluminum etc. Please note tolerance of fitting from supplier of fittings. We also offer a variety of fittings. 6-strand rope with IWRC Installering: Ved produktion af net og installering af disse anbefales det at undgå skarpe kanter, små bøjningsradiusser og/eller skæve spændinger i taifunen. Legeplads taifun med stålhjerte (IWRC) anvendes normalt til ydre dele af nettet pga. taifunens højere brudstyrke og mindre forlængelse. PUR forhudet taifun kan f.eks. med fordel anvendes som bund taifun eller på andre dele af nettet, hvor slid er særlig kraftigt.
