Spring auction at Bredgade This spring s international auction at Bredgade includes a masterpiece by Russian-born painter Serge Poliakoff, a prominent figure in the Ecole de Paris after the Second World War. At auction is also a study for Edvard Weie s Motiv fra Langelinie (View of Langelinie) from 1924, which has a format and quality that are extremely rare. There is a freshness about the very last work by Asger Jorn, created by the artist in November 1972. Note four canvases by the forbidden painter Harald Engman, including his main work Den gode Jord (The good Earth) from 1940. There is a magnificent selection of works by the artists of the School of Experimental Art ( Eks-skolen ) such as Per Kirkeby and Poul Gernes. Contemporary art is well represented this time around with great names such as Olafur Eliasson, John Kørner and Martin Bigum. Furniture designer Poul Kjærholm is represented in our modern furniture department with items including ten perfectly formed PK-12 armchairs with patinated leather and a pair of original Holscher chairs out of the 20 or so originals in the world. We look forward to welcoming you to the preview at Bredgade! Jesper Bruun Rasmussen
