EGO is sensational in more ways than one. Its ultimate ergonomic design means that the office chair feels like a natural extension of the body and enjoys a reputation as the most comfortable chair on the market. The ergonomic shape of the EGO chair was developed as far back as 1994 in collaboration with a panel of professional physiotherapists, ergotherapists and doctors. And even today, 10 years on, it remains unsurpassed. However, sometimes a little change is called for, so Claude Mutschler and the Labofa Munch Design Team have given the chair a design overhaul. At the same time, the chair was renamed: EGO Nordic. 4

Fortunately, however, we know a great deal about how to design a chair to fulfil the ergonomic demands of our bodies. It is the dynamic use of muscles that makes the difference. On EGO Nordic, you actively use your muscles to move the chair into different positions and halt the movement so the chair supports your body precisely where it is needed. These natural movements strengthen and stimulate the muscles, spinal column and blood circulation. Based on this knowledge, we have developed an intelligent system, Labofa Action System, which always ensures an open sitting posture with a sitting angle above 100, whether you sit right forwards or far back in the chair.

On Labofa Munch chairs, the seat does not tip up and press into the back of the legs when you lean back on the contrary. Labofa Action System ensures that the tilting point is in the knee joint, so the chair follows the body s movements. This means that you support yourself with both feet on the floor and that the pressure on the back of the thighs is at the same time reduced.
