We went out again to eat at Nottinghill. We didn't do much there, instead we went to Hyde Park. We saw how big and beautiful it was and took lots of pictures there. But that wasn t as interesting as the "Jack The Ripper walk" in the evening. The man that gave us the tour was the same guy that wrote a Jack The Ripper book. The tour lasted two and a half hours. We were very tired after that long walk.(but we enjoyed it very much). Monday 04-04/05 Early in the morning we went down to eat our breakfast, it was at 9 a.m. Half an hour later it s time to see the worlds largest diamond and some other jewels at the Tower of London. continued page 2 9th in London 1 The Foundation of Human Rights And Tolerance 3 Den lille have 4 5-6th` excursion 5 5-6th` project 6 Læserbreve 7 2nd at the Zoo 8 Demokrati og politik 9 Reply from Bertel Haarder 10

Side 2 AIS Nyhedsbrev Tuesday 05-04/05 10 a.m., Shakespeare time. We went to The Globe Theatre to learn about William Shakespeare and the Globe Theatre itself also the makers of The Globe Theatre. We had already learned many things about it in school so we knew what the woman was talking about. It was realy good to see the theatre in real life. After that it was time for Chelsea Football Stadium. We didn t meet any football players there, but we got to see how the stadium looked. We did manage to see the famous manager of the club called José Mourinho. It was interesting for boys, not for the girls. Later on we went on the London Eye at Westminster where you could see the whole of London, including Big Ben. We were high up in the sky and it took about 30 mins. to go all the way around. The views were amazing. Some of us also tried a big ride next to the Thames river, where we jumped on very big trampolines, very high, it was cool. Later we went to the "Britain At War" Museum it was quite good, we got to see how it was to live during the war and the many different things there were during war like old newspapers, uniforms and bombs. We also watched a film about the war which gave lots of information on the war. In the evening we went to the theatre to see "Fame". It was a dancing and singing show we went to see about a lot of talented kids who could sing and dance and their life in a special dance/acting school. It was one of the most exciting thing we did on the whole trip and we got to dress up nice. It lasted 3 hours, but it was all worth it. At the end we even got to meet some of the performers at the stage door, we took photos too. We were very tired after that day. We came back home and got some sleep. Wednesday 06-04/05 Today was going to be the shopping day but we started off at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, time to meet some famous people...lots of them... but there was one thing wrong with this, they were all made out of wax. They looked very real and some even looked like live humans, there were all kinds of artists and singers like Beyonce, Weslay Snipes, Tom Cruise even the Queen was there, it was fun. We took the chance to take some pictureswith these fake dolls. No one will know that they

2005 May. Issue nr.3 Side 3 - with these fake dolls. No one will know that they are fake... hee..hee...hee... SHOPPING TIME!!!!!!! We shopped all over London in Oxford Street, Picadilly Circus, Lillywhites (the biggest sports shop in the world), Covent garden market, we found some great small shops where we could buy designer clothes at good prices. Thursday 07-04/05 We Packed And Said Goodbye To England Thanks to Patricia and Carolyn for the chance to go to England. In the evening we walked through green park to Buckingham Palace. The Queen is very lucky to live in such a nice, big place. We went there and it looks better in real life than on the tv. It was all surrounded by guards and it looked real safe, lucky for the Queen. The Foundation of Human Rights and Tolerance The 21st of February a big international event was held to celebrate the start of The Foundation of Human Rights and Tolerance. The Foundation of Human Rights and Tolerance is a new European organisation that is being created. It draws on many alliances that have existed both formally and informally in the past and puts them together in a new forum. It draws together people of different faiths and from different professional backgrounds in order to take a position on human rights, and especially religious freedom issues, which are affecting our society. Because of the work we do here at AIS with teaching the students children's rights and other such work in this field, we had been chosen as a good example to others; Carolyn Murphy, the headmistress of AIS, made a very nice and impressive speech introducing the Studytech, The Way to Happiness and how we apply them in our school. Some of our students also presented a fantastic and beautiful dance performance at the event, which was a big success!

Stefanie, Art - Lærer Poem Remember it s only a game There s a lot of things we like, like travelling, that s what Mohammad likes, some others like dancing, we all have one thing in common, we all like playing, when we start playing it all goes into mayhem. We hate death, it only shows threats, we hate it cause it s the end of the path. We hate racists, pain and war, it makes us angry, sad, and we can t take it anymore, but we like vacations, taking us away from bad situations, but you gotta remember, that it s all a game, but you ve nothing to worry in this world without stating your name. Just keep on going and hope to achieve fame. (alt i verden). -A.S. -S.P. (forælder)

2005 May. Issue nr.3 Side 5 At the National Museum Today we went to the National Museum. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Now I am going to tell you about it. When we arrived at the museum we started the excursion. First we went to the exhibition about the Vikings, and there we saw some Viking tools, the offering gifts they gave to their gods and also the jewellery of the Vikings. Then we went and looked at the Bronze Age exhibition. There we saw some bronze, which was made in Central Europe, and was found in Denmark. We also saw the bones of those people, who had lived in the world a long time ago. And when we went into the next room, we saw a very beautiful knife, which was made in the Bronze Age. We learned, that the people, who lived in the time period, 4000-2800 BC, were eating human bodies to survive; that was a good thing to know. Then we went a little bit further, and we found beautiful pieces of artwork carved into stone; they think, that the people, who lived in 6800-400 BC used a stone to get into connection with the gods. Children are not dogs. They can t be trained like dogs are trained. They are not controllable items. They are, and lets not overlook the point, men and women. Then after some time we saw the cloth, that belonged to the people, who lived in 750-1050 BC, and when we entered the room of 400-1000 BC, we found the golden horns, which had been stolen, so these ones were not the real ones. When we were finished with all the exciting things, we had done, we played in the playing room, and then we went home again. - By Lalli Singh, 5/6 th class - L. Ron. Hubbard

Side 6 AIS Nyhedsbrev 5-6th Project In 5-6th class we have researched what healthy food is. We learned that the body, to run well needs: Proteins Carbohydrates Fat Minerals Fibre Water All the vitamins: -Vitamin A -Vitamin B -Vitamin C -Vitamin D -Vitamin E We learned that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, because it determines how much energy you will have for the rest of the day. You can not drive a car without fuel Your breakfast is your body's fuel to start the day. It helps you to study well until lunch. We made a survey by questioning two students in each class and six teachers. We found out from that survey thet several The ingredients of competence include observation, study and practice. - L.Ron.Hubbard students came to school without eating breakfast! This is against our school rules. Some students and teachers ate very good breakfast. Daniel from 4-5 th is the student who ate the healthiest breakfast: Wednesday he ate: Cornflakes with milk, brown bread with sausage and brown bread with eggs; he drank tea. Birthe B. Christensen, 8b class teacher, is the teacher who ate the healthiest breakfast. She ate: Protein drink with all the vitamins and minerals and A38 with muesli. -Cornflakes with milk alone is a bad breakfast. It does not give enough energy to your body. Too many students eat only Cornflakes with milk. Oatmeal with yoghurt and fruit or Brown bread with eggs and fruit or juice are good breakfast meals, and gives you the energy you need. If you don't like to eat breakfast, then make a protein and fruit-milkshake; then you get enough energy to study the whole morning! Math success! I have learned more in this school, than in all the other schools, I have been to before! I have completed one Math-book and now I m on the second one! - Sahib Al-Kabani

2005 May.

Side 8 AIS Nyhedsbrev Second Class Trip to Copenhagen Zoo On the 19th of May 2005, the Second Class visited Copenhagen Zoo to learn about the different animals and to see them up close and personal. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the children were fortunate enough to see the different animals when they were up and about, and very active. The only animals which were not as active as the others were the lions, which enjoyed a long outdoor nap throughout the entire visit. All the animals were very funny to study and watch, but the most popular attractions of the day were the Sea Lions performing their amazing acrobatic skills, the gift store, and the petting Zoo, where the children got to touch their favourite farm animals. Words of caution for future visitors though if you tease the Penguins by waving your hat or any other piece of clothing, they might just steal it from under your nose and dump it in the water for you to never get back. It happened to one of the students in the Second Class, and he s definitely learned his lesson! Aside from that, a definite educational and enjoyable experience! Angelo del Valle 2 nd Class Teacher

2005 May. Ahmed Mushtaq

2005 May. - Mustafe Mohamed Holidayplan: Summerholiday 25th of June - 7th of August Summerschool: 27th of June - 21st of July from Monday to Thursday 8:30-13:30 Summerschool is an offer for those students who wish to do extra schoolwork or need to catch up, there will also be excursions and other summeractivities.
