~JYORKG Refrigeration Capacity stages and regulating sequence ~apacity stages The CMO compressors can be capacity &~ulated in 4 stages with the various per ~itages of full capacity as shown in the ~bie below. The TCMO compressors have no unloading cylinders on two HP and two LP cylinders, and thus they can be capacity regulated as shown in the following table. ~JYORK Refrigeration Heating rods9 pos~ 30 r order to keep the lubricating oil in the com rssor warm during a period of standstill, te oil reservoir has one or two heating rods rct in. Before start-up, the heating rod (s) rcst have been activated for 6-8 hqurs in cher to ensure that there is only a minimum ± refrigerant in the oil. When containing noh refrigerant, the oil will lose ts lubricat ~rç property and the following operational in ErJptions may occur: a~- reciprocating compressors there is a æ~ous danger of vigorous oil foaming when te compressor starts as a result of a falling artion pressure. F: screw compressors starting with much re~gerant dissolved in the oil, there is a risk rtt ie compressor being stopped by the Flow Sê~ttch as the oil will be foaming owing to the ~LJn pressure through oil pipe and oil filter. As illustrated on the drawing the heating rod consists of an electric heating element, incor porated in a dia. 30 mm pipe. The entire hea ting cartridge is screwed on tight at the G i 1/4 thread. Note: The heating rod must not be energized If the oil leve) in the reservoir is below the minimum mark in the sight glass, and it should generally be switched off during compressor operation. Remember to turn off the heating rod whenever the crank oase of the reciprocating compressor is opened for inspection. The following table indicates which heating rods are used for the various compressor types. In the spare paris lists for compressor or unit you will find the current part numbers.
