Procedures for entering New Apprenticeship Agreement: 1. The agreement is arranged between the farmer, the student and the mentor (school). 2. The mentor makes a competency assessment of the student in the company. 3. The mentor is the facilitator of New Apprenticeship including follow-ups and the final practical test. 4. The following schedule will be used to agree on the division of responsibilities between the farmer and the school in relation to the learning goals the student must achieve in the New Apprenticeship Agreement prior to start on the first main course. 5. The mentor will then prepare an education plan including possible school courses for the students New Apprenticeship. 6. The final practical test is arranged in the company at the end of the first year after the start of the New Apprenticeship. This will be arranged between the student, the farmer and the mentor. 7. Furthermore the student will be offered a course in Basic chemistry, if needed. The teaching will provide the student to obtain skills and competences to understand the Danish education culture and able him to accomplish 1 st and 2 nd Main Course. 2 nd Module, duration 1 week Period: The contents of this module will provide the international students at New Apprenticeship to obtain competences which are difficult to obtain at their workplace. The contents of the course will be arranged individually with the student and the subjects will primarily be: 26, Medicine handling, Milking certificate, Fire fighting, Organic farming and Driving license for tractor (if needed). The teaching will provide the student to obtain skills and competences to understand the Danish education culture and able him to accomplish 1 st and 2 nd Main Course. 3 rd Module, duration 2 weeks Period: The contents of this module will provide the international students at New Apprenticeship to obtain competences which are difficult to obtain at their workplace. You will work with theory and practical cases organized into 3 main themes. During the classes you will learn and expand your knowledge and knowhow in the areas of: production economy, feeding, fodder and fodder quality, fodder production, spraying (part 1 and 4), ecology/organic farming, natural science, animal behavior, welfare, health, prevention of disease, diseases, breeding, agricultural technic, etc. At the end of the course you will make a larger integrated project which will be the foundation for the final exam.
