DAY HUNTER KIT ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Attach the Shoulder Harness to the Frame 1. Pass the Upper Harness Attachment Straps (Diagram 1.) through the attachment points located inboard on the upper portion of the frame (Diagram 2a.). 2. Secure the straps by routing them through the plastic buckles on the Harness, as shown in Diagram 2a. 3. Pass the looped ends of the Lower Harness Attachment Straps (Diagram 1.) through the 1 slots of the one-piece harness & waist belt attachments located on outer-lower portion of the frame (Diagram 2b.). 4. Disconnect the quick release buckles of the harness. Secure the Lower Harness straps by passing the male buckles through the looped ends (Diagram 2b.). Pull tight, and reconnect the quick release buckles of the harness. Attach the Waist Belt to the Frame 1. Using the Velcro tabs, attach the Lumbar Pad to the bottom of the frame s seat/lumbar area (Diagram 3a.). 2. Rotate the Lumbar Pad up and onto the frame s lumbar area and pass the remaining Velcro tabs through the seat and secure them to the backside of the Lumbar Pad. 3. Slide the rigid tab of the Hip Pads into the slots created between the Lumbar Pad and the frame s seat (Diagram 4.). 4. Secure the Hip Pads to the frame by passing the retention straps through the 1.5 slots on the one-piece harness & waist belt attachments located on the outer-lower portion of the frame (Diagram 5.). Secure the running end through the plastic friction lock. Attach the Beaver Tail to the Frame 1. Place the frame facing down (cargo deck facing up). With the inside of the Beaver Tail facing up (Diagram 7a.) pass straps LS- 1 and RS-1 through slots L-3 and R-3 of the frame, respectively (Diagram 6.). 2. Secure straps LS-1 and RS-1 to buckles LB-1 and RB-1, respectively (Diagram 7a.) 3. Pass straps LS-2 and RS-2 (Diagram 7a.) through slots L-5 and R-5 of the frame, respectively (Diagram 6.), and secure to buckles LB-2 and RB-2 (Diagram 7b.). WWW.PACK-RABBIT.COM
4. Pass straps LS-3 and RS-3 (Diagram 7b.) through slots C-1 and C-4 of the cargo deck, respectively (Diagram 6.), and secure to buckles LB-3 and RB-3 (Diagram 7b.). 5. Optional Step- Attach the side compression straps of the Beaver Tail to the frame by either removing the plastic buckles and passing the straps directly through open slots on the frame, or using the G-hook connectors to attach to webbing (Diagram 8.). This step is optional, and will allow you to use the Beaver Tail without the Day Hunter Pack. Otherwise, the side compression straps will be attached directly to the Day Hunter Pack using the G-hook connectors. Attach the Day Hunter Pack 1. Pass the Top Handle of the frame through the Day Hunter s Hood (Diagram 9.) and snug it down onto the frame (Diagram 10.) 2. Pass the Day Hunter s straps LP-2 and RP-2 (Diagram 9.) through slots L-4 and R-4 of the frame (Diagram 6.), flip down the frame s seat, and secure the straps to buckles LB-4 and RB-4 of the Beaver Tail (Diagram 7b.). 3. Optional Step- Pass the Day Hunter s straps LP-1 and LP-2 (Diagram 9.) through slots L-1 and R-1 of the frame (Diagram 6.) and secure them to buckles LPB-1 and RPB-2 (Diagram 9.). This step is optional, but not required. If not used, secure the straps to their respective buckles prior to sliding the pack onto the frame. These straps are only required when the Day Hunter is used without the Beavertail. 4. Attach the G-Hooks located on the Load Management Straps of the Shoulder Harness (Diagram 1.) to the looped tabs located under the Day Hunter Pack s top carry handle (Diagram 11.). 5. Assembly is complete. (Adjust the tension of the Load Management Straps for personal comfort after donning the Day Hunter Pack system.) WWW.PACK-RABBIT.COM
