Jeg vil kort og enkelt vise, hvordan jeg har opbygget dokumentet, defineret paragraph- og character-styles, opbygget en tabel, mm. Designmanual Hos MAN Diesel & Turbo kører vi efter en designmanual for at få en ensartethed gennem alle vores brochurere, plakater, mm. Farvepalette På for- og bagsiden er brugt pantonefarven PANTONE 7546C. På de resterende sider er brugt 4+4. Font I brochuren er brugt MAN Helvetica Neue. MARGINS AND COLUMNS Til at starte med, har jeg sat grundlinjenettet og marginerne, bl.a. ved hjælp af Margins and Columns. PARAGRAPH STYLE OPTIONS Til højre ses Paragraph Styles Options, hvor der er taget udgangspunkt i brødteksten (Copy text). PARAGRAPH STYLES Paragraph Styles laves for at gøre det nemmere og hurtigere at ombryde teksten. Desuden er det lettere for andre at overtage et dokument med Paragraph Styles. På billedet til højre ses en opdeling af dokumentets Paragraph Styles. Styles, der hører sammen, eks. styles til tabellen, er lagt i mapper, for at overskueliggøre de forskellige styles. SPROG Indholdet af den trefløjede brochure er skrevet på engelsk, hvorfor Language er sat til Engelsk. Grundlinjenet Grundlinjenettet indstilles efter at brødtekstens størrelse og linjeafstand er defineret. CHARACTER STYLES Character Styles laves, hvis der f.eks. er en kort frase af brødtekst e.a., der skal styles. Character Styles gør det også lettere og hurtigere at style en tekst ensartet gennem hele dokumentet. 4. Typografi & Ombrydning // Mette-Marie Randskov
LILLE I For at få et hensigtsmæssigt mellemrum mellem ordene i brødteksten, rettes Word Spacing i Justification. Dette gøres ved at sætte to enslydende linjer op under hinanden. I den ene linje erstattes mellemrummet med et lille i. Derefter indsættes en hjælpelinje på bagkanten af lille i s sætning. Herefter kan det ses udfra hjælpelinjen på den anden linje, om der er for meget eller for lidt luft mellem ordene. Til sidst markeres linjen uden lille i. Her skal luften mellem ordene rettes til, således at linjes bagkant flugter med hjælpelinjen. Dette gøres i tekstes Paragraph Styles i Word Spacing s Desired under Justification. FIND/CHANGE Til slut tjekkes dokumentet igennem for dobbelt-mellemrum, engelske anførselstegn og mm. ved hjælp af værktøjet Find and Change. SHOW HIDDEN CHARACTERS Under hele forløbet har jeg arbejdet med Show Hidden Character. Dette giver et hurtigere overblik, om der eks. er brugt tvunget linjeskift eller er kommet et ekstra mellemrum ind. 5. Typografi & Ombrydning // Mette-Marie Randskov
H&J VIOLATIONS I dokumentet er der fast bagkant. Det kan medføre for meget eller for lidt luft mellem ordene og i værste fald horeunger. For at holde øje med luften mellem ordene, er H&J Violations under Composition i Preferences afkrydset. Når denne er afkrydset, vil linjen med for meget eller lidt luft mellem ordene være markeret med gul farve. For at rette luften mellem ordene til, markeres den pågældende linje og knibes eller spærres indtil markeringen bliver 100% sort. Dette betyder, at luften nu er tilpas. 6.
