Marshall Field At Drake Stadium The UCLA soccer team will begin its ninth season of play on Marshall Field at Drake Stadium. The stadium, which has served as the on-campus home of the Bruin men s and women s track and field teams since, took on a new look in the spring of when it was transformed into a state-of-the-art soccer/track and field facility. The stadium provides seating for, spectators. The cost of the project was $. million and was made possible by a lead gift from Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy. Marshall is a longtime UCLA soccer fan and was a member of UCLA s original men s soccer team in. The grass infield, named Marshall Field, houses a regulation -yard by -yard soccer field and is considered to be one of the finest playing surfaces in the country.the UCLA men s and women s soccer teams use this field for competition and the adjacent North Athletic Field for practice. Drake Stadium sits atop BruinWalk just east of UCLA s dormitories. The stadium provides a picturesque view of the North Campus, where UCLA s famous architecural symbol, Royce Hall, lies.
