Light city life Enghaveskråningen, Holstebro, Denmark Firm of architects: Arkitema, www.arkitema.com HERE, YOU WILL BOTH FIND A VIEW AND BE CLOSE TO CITY LIFE. The residences on Enghaveskråningen in the heart of Holstebro are located in three wings comprising a front house and two courtyard houses. The light architecture creates a gliding transition between the houses and their surroundings. Footpaths and short cuts wind around the buildings on the slope. THE BUILDING ALMOST FLOATS thrown into relief by the sloping gables with landscape windows and extended balconies opening up to the landscape to all sides. The bays of the front house are designed as vertical glass units continuing up over the roof and creating attics with rhythmic transitions to the other houses on the street. The living rooms of the houses are light, spacious and capture the magnificent view. You will find yourself both in the centre of the city and high above it. 08 Light city life
Lyst byliv HER ER UDSIGT OG BYLIV ÉN OG SAMME OPLEVELSE. Boligerne på Enghaveskråningen i hjertet af Holstebro er en trefløjet bebyggelse med et gadehus og to gårdhuse. Den lette og lyse arkitektur skaber glidende overgange mellem huse og omgivelser. Stier og smutveje snor sig rundt om bebyggelsen på skråningen. The large, hinged windows in the houses have been designed to blend in with the surroundings. Light and sea air create a rare warm and free atmosphere. AND THEN THERE IS THE VIEW. Horizons everywhere you look Tuborg Sundpark, Copenhagen, Denmark Firm of architects: Arkitema, www.arkitema.com SWEDEN TO THE EAST, SKOVSHOVED TO THE NORTH-WEST, COPENHAGEN TO THE SOUTH-EAST. Tuborg Sundpark on the coast of the Oresund comprises 50 exclusive owner-occupied residences with the coastline as their nearest neighbour. The area, which is surrounded by water, is accessed via two bridges. The large glass panels by the balconies of the flats are recessed from the white-painted brick walls and create an exciting transition between the light and the heavy facade elements. There is no rear side, but light from floor to ceiling. All flats have two views towards the countryside and the coastline, only one glance from the lively atmosphere at the pier.

Small, medium, large THE SMALL SCHOOL IN THE SCHOOL OF NATURE. Absalonskolen in Holbæk is a new and different school building in close contact with the area s undulating land. The buildings comprise four squares introductory period, intermediate period, superstructure and a central sports centre. Each square is two-storey and creates a flexible and varied room sequence. A clear view and daylight are combined with visual connections between the different rooms, squares, niches, stairs, landings and balconies. Lille, mellem, stor DEN LILLE SKOLE I DEN STORE SKOLE. Absalonskolen i Holbæk er et nyt og anderledes skolebyggeri i tæt kontakt med den kuperede natur på stedet. Byggeriet består af fire kvadrater indskoling, mellemtrin, overbygning og central idrætshal. Hvert kvadrat løfter sig over to etager og skaber et fleksibelt og varieret rumforløb. Frit udsyn og dagslys er kombineret med visuelle forbindelser mellem forskellige rum, torve, nicher, trapper, reposer og balkoner. Her er plads til kaotisk energi, til at gå på opdagelse, til at skabe orden i kaos. Til at lege og lære på samme tid på samme sted.

Care centre Rosenlund in Herlev comprises 46 homes, both one-room and two-room residences. The building houses a cosy cafe, a spacious assembly hall and an industrial kitchen. The residences are light and spacious with bays that create a varied inflow of light all year round. INSPIRATIONAL LIVING ENVIRONMENTS. The care centre is divided into residential groups with shared kitchens and open spaces. From the private terraces and the joint corridors you can access the harmonious gardens. This is the centre of the facilities. Paths, ornamental lakes and screened off terraces create a safe setting for social activity. The open window sections of the residences invite the landscape inside and create an organic transition between nature and home. This is a place of space and energy.
