INFORMATION ABOUT RENTING HUSETS BIOGRAF (SCROLL DOWN FOR ACTUAL PRICES & EXPANDED INFO IN DANISH, but please do read this general info first) *GENERAL INFORMATION: Husets Biograf can be rented for a wide range of activities: birthday parties, private film screenings, club arrangements and meetings, and the venue is even ideal for non-film type events like book & poetry readings and even puppet shows or magic acts (we have a stage). If your potential audience is 65 or less we might well be the best venue for you. *FORMATS WE CAN SCREEN: We can screen films on a variety of formats: DVD, Blu-ray, computer files, 16mm, 35mm, etc. basically any format except DCP. We always supply an operator to run the show and open up and lock down, and 1 to 2 café people depending on need. *LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME BOOKABLE: We have no rate under the half-hour rate, so even if you want to show a 5 minute film and will only use the cinema for 10 minutes you still need to book the half-hour rate. (Note: it is not possible to invite the public to an event in this category) And unfortunately we have a lot of expenses involved with operating the area and cannot do shows for free. *WHAT AMOUNT OF TIME DO YOU NEED TO BOOK? If you are inviting an audience, public or private, to your event you need to add one hour on to the amount of time you will actually be physically present in the area. This hour covers: 30 minutes to set up the café, time to test the film (whether this is done on that day or before), 30 minutes to allow your audience to gather before the show, and additional time to clean up and lock down after the show. For example if you have a film that runs 90 minutes, the 2-hour booking rate is not enough, it should rather be the 3 hour booking rate when set-up time is added, and would typically look like this: 18.00 = Staff arrives and starts café set-up 18:15 to 18:30 = doors open to café 19:00 = Program starts 20:30 = show ends, brief hang-out in cafe 21:00 = close down completed, lights out and doors locked And even then that does not allow much hang-out time after the show which sometimes can be a good idea. If you need extra time for a substantial
introduction or Q & A after the show plus hang-out time so your guests can mingle then in fact a 4 hour rate would be best. (Testing the film can happen before the day of the show but still needs to be factored into your paid use of the area.) *OPENING HOURS, ETC. : keep in mind our latest closing time sequencing is 23.20 = last call / 23.30 = café closes / 24:00 lights out & doors locked. Additionally it is not permitted to have an open bar (meaning the giveaway of unlimited alcoholic drinks is never permitted), although you can distribute one gratis welcome drink (that you supply) and snacks or food items (that you supply). Also it is not permitted for anyone under 18 years of age to be behind the counter or buy or consumer alcoholic drinks. Additionally please note we are a volunteer run cinema without a paid clean-up staff and any show that causes extra disruption or necessitates extra clean-up requires someone from your group to help us out. *TICKET MONEY SPLIT: If you pay a rental fee to use the cinema you can charge a ticket fee of 50kr., and keep that entire fee, but if you charge over 50kr. the excess amount must be split 50/50 with Husets Bio, meaning for example that if you charge 100 kr., you keep 75kr. and HB gets 25kr. per ticket in addition to the rental fee. *CAPACITY & MISC. ISSUES: Our café seats between 25 and 30, the cinema itself seats 65. We have champagne glasses and/or wine glasses you can borrow at no extra cost, and a popcorn machine that can be used. Food cannot be cooked in the café but you can get take-out or bring the food items yourself if it is a closed gathering and not open to the public.
