Kombineret EGR og EGC scrubber Et feasibility study støttet af Miljøstyrelsen Formålet med dette projekt har været at undersøge hvordan emissioner af NO x, SO x og partikler fra skibe med dieselmotorer kan nedbringes ved at kombinere to kendte, men væsentligt forskellige teknologier EGC scrubber (Exhaust Gas Cleaning scrubber) og EGR (Exhaust Gas Re-circulation). Del projekter: A. Retrofit of EGC scrubbers B. Engine with Integrated EGR C. Combined EGR and EGC scrubber Rapport tilgængelig på: www.ecoinnovation.dk < 14 >

Max fuel S% Kombineret EGR og EGC scrubber Resultater If the SO 2 scrubber is designed to reduce 3.5 % sulphur fuel to 0.1% sulphur in the exhaust and is sailing outside a SO X ECA then it is possible to bypass the SO X scrubber with the excess exhaust and still stay below the limit of 0.5% sulphur; but at a certain load it is necessary to reduce the fuel sulphur content in order to stay in compliance or to use the EGR. 4 3.5 3 2.5 Example EGC designed for: 70 % MCR 3.5 % fuel-s 0.1 % S eq. as in ECA 2 1.5 1 0.5 0 75 80 85 90 95 100 Engine load % Actual conditions outside ECA 95 % MCR 0.5 % S eq. 25% of the exhaust is bypassed max 1.6% S fuel < 19 >
Kombineret EGR og EGC scrubber Synergieffekt på WTS system The water treatment systems (WTS) for the EGR system and the EGC scrubber system can be combined. The following configurations are considered and sketched below: A. Both the EGR and EGC scrubber units are operating on FW. B. The EGR system operates on FW while the EGC scrubber unit operates on SW. C. As configuration A, but the scrubber system can operate on SW when it is acceptable to discharge the seawater, e.g. outside coastal areas. < 20 >
