HVAD ER EN TBMI CHALLENGE? TBMI (Technological Business Model Innovation) er en af kernefagene på ingeniøruddannelsen teknologibaseret forretningsudvikling på AU i Herning. Dette fag har til hensigt at lære de studerende at opbygge eller forbedre virksomheders forretningsmodeller med udgangspunkt i teknologi. Hvad dækker begrebet forretningsmodel over? Hvis vi skal skære helt ind til benet, så vil de formentlig gerne have et svar på syv simple spørgsmål: Hvilke produkter, serviceydelser eller procesydelser tilbyder forretningsmodellen? Hvilke kunder og brugere henvender forretningsmodellen sig til? Hvilke funktioner udfører forretningsmodellen? (Tænk som led i en kæde) Hvilke interne kompetencer anvender forretningsmodellen? (Der kan både være tale om udstyr, viden, menneskelige kvalifikationer og kultur) Hvem er forretningsmodellens samarbejdspartnere og leverandører? (Alle der har en rolle i forretningsmodellen) Hvordan beregner forretningsmodellen priser og omkostninger? Hvilke relationer har forretningsmodellen? (Først gør vi, så gør vi x, så gør...) Udover at de studerende skal beherske alle designelementer i relation til udvikling af forretningsmodeller skal de kunne inddrage et teknologisk aspekt ved design af nye forretningsmode ller. Dette kunne fx være robot teknologi, Internet of Things, Industri 4.0, nye materialer, droner, VR og Biogas. Udover at de studerende lærer metoderne og teknologierne skal de også kunne demonstrere at de kan anvende det i praksis. Det er netop her at vi har brug for din hjælp! Den praktiske opgave de skal gennemføre kalder vi en TBMI challenge. En TBMI challenge er en praktisk problemstilling som er stillet af en virksomhed der ønsker at få udfordret deres nuværende forretningsmodeller eller har idéer til nye. De studerende vil igennem en intensiv periode arbejde på konkrete løsninger til udfordringen. HVAD VIL DER SKE UNDER ET CHALLENGE FORLØB? Et challenge forløb er delt op i 5 faser: FASE 1 Dialog imellem virksomhed og AU i Herning omkring formuleringen af udfordringen. FASE 2 De studerende (4-6 personer) kommer ud i jeres virksomhed i 3 dage (10/4,11/4 og 12/4). Programmet for disse tre dage vil være: I/virksomheden vil præsentere udfordringen for gruppen og besvare spørgsmål fra de studerende. De studerende vil sidde fysisk i jeres virksomhed og arbejde på udfordringen. De studerende fremlægger hver dag inden de går hjem, hvad de har tænkt samt eventuelt spørgsmål til jer. Vejlederen fra AU i Herning vil under de 3 dage komme på besøg for at sikre fremdrift. Som afslutning på de tre dage fremlægger de studerende deres første udkast til løsningen samt lave aftale om det videre forløb med jer. FASE 3 De studerende vil arbejde videre med udfordringen på AU i Herning samt modtage sparring fra deres vejleder. (uge 16-22) FASE 4 I vil blive inviteret til AU i Herning for at få en endelig fremlæggelse af de studerendes løsninger. (uge 22) FASE 5 De studerende går til eksamen i udfordringen samtidig sender de deres endelige rapport til jer. (uge 24)
HVAD SKAL I SOM VIRK- SOMHED BIDRAGE MED? Som virksomhed skal i bidrage med: En forretningsudfordring som rummer teknologiske elementer Stille lokale til rådighed i de tre dage hvor de studerende kommer Præsentation af udfordringen den første dag Vær behjælpelig med at svare på spørgsmål fra de studerende Deltage i præsentation af løsning (AU i Herning) Alle udgifter er dækket ind via AUHE-Midtvest, http://auhefonden.dk og Biogas 2020 HVAD FÅR I UD AF AT DELTAGE? Hele formålet med TBMI challengen er at give de studerende mulighed for at afprøve det lærte i praksis. Det vil konkret betyde at I som virksomhed vil få muligheden for at få forslag til løsninger på de udfordringer I har. De studerende vil aflevere en rapport hvori de beskriver hvorledes de mener I kan udnytte nye forretningsmuligheder og teknologier. Samtidig vil de også præsentere dette for jer således I får mulighed for at stille uddybende spørgsmål til de studerende.
EKSEMPLER PÅ CHALLENEGER: NOMI4S TBMI Challenge Business: NOMI4S NOMI4S is a business that involves 4 Municipalities - Holstebro, Lemvig, Skive and Struer and serves 150.000 citizens and several businesses. NOMI4S objective as a networkbased municipality business is to find and operate environmentally good solutions in the waste line of business, with a good service and to the right price. NOMI4S have just implemented a new revolutionary development project, where robots sorts the reusable and dry waste from households. The developmentprojects main objective is to develop and demonstrate better technical solutions and concepts supported by automation technology and methods, which enables NOMI4S to use minimal human ressources to identify reuseable ressources. Further the aim is to make the processes and business models involved as effective and efficient as possible. Nomi4s has developed this in collaboration with 3 businesses Nordtec-Optomatic, Ikast, - www. nto.dk, Linatech, Kjellerup, - www.linatech.com og Robotsort Aps, Odense, - www.wamatech.dk with economic support from The Danish Environmental Protection Agency (Danish EPA) and Region Central Denmark, with the aim to developed and increased a robotbased sorting system, which use advanced sensor- and robottechnology to increase the cleanliness by automatically removing polluting elements and by automatically identifying different plastic types. TBMI Challenge: The objective of the NOMI4S Challenge is to analyze and innovate a specific waste handling project and process including technical and engineering setup.
Minkpapir A/S Challenge Business: Minkpapir A/S Worldwide the Mink business ecosystem produce about 50 mio. animals outside China and including China about 60-90 mio animals (dependent on the conjunction). Denmarks second largest exportarticle is mink with the organization Kopenhagen Fur - http:// www.kopenhagenfur.com/ as the leading head of this line business. There is large attention on The Mink production and there is still large support to the industry also by the government. The Mink line of business model ecosystem consist of manifolds of business models from food production to breeding animals, to breeding, production of minks with following slathering, pelset and sorting of fur. Hereafter a large production primarily in Easten Europe and Asia takes place with tanning of furs, stitching of the fur and finally sales of the fur. Minkpapir A/S has a small part of this BM Ecosystem, but has been market leader in this small part of the BM Ecosystem for many years. TBMI Challenge: Minkpapir A/S want an analysis of the Mink business model ecosystem especially the relations between different Businesses Business Models in the MINK BM ecosystem and would like to se the value propositions offered by different businesses business models both with direct businesses, suppliers, subsuppliers and other network partners. How are the relations in the BM Ecosystem and where is the money flow which technologies can be used with advantage. Can a BM setup with a Multi Channel value chain in the future be innovated in advantage for Minkpapir A/S? Can Minkpair hereby create more value for the Mink BM Ecosystem and Minkpapir A/S. How should this BM Ecosystem be innovated related to business models, technology and engineering setup.
Biogas in Heavy Transport Challenge Business: Biogas 2020 partners - NTU, Frode Laursen, Gas2move, Cowi, Aarhus University Biogas is CO2-neutral and natural gas is less airpoluting compared to gasoline and diesel. Biogas is a potential energy source for heavy transport in Denmark and in Italy e.g. about 85% of the trucks runs on naturalgas. It is however a challenged in Denmark to change heavy transport to biogas, because there is not at the moment any visually financial arguments for a change from any other energy sources like diesel. Further the Business Model Ecosystem and conditions for the heavy transport in Denmark can be characterized as a red ocean Business Model Ecosystem with intense, heavy and rivalizing competition. Effectiveness is a must and efficiency and the margins is small in the BMES. The Biogas 2020 consortium is challenge by getting a visual business model overview and an analysis, on Biogas compared to other energy forms for heavy transportation How does the heavy transport look like business model wise and how can Biogas potentially become a future and important energy source for Heavy Transport. How can new technology maybe support biogas development and how can new ICT technology be used to increase the use of biogas in heavy transport. TBMI Challenge: The objective of the TBMI Challenge is to analyze and innovate how Biogas can become an important energy source in the heavy transport Business Model Ecosystem. How can new collaborations within business model innovation, new technology and new engineering setup change the use of energy in heavy transport. How can this be done most effective and efficient for the businesses and organizations involved.
