En maskinchef var det typisk at der var blackout 2 gange om dagen Typisk har været 1-2 gange per udmønstring (1 måned) Ja 8-10 meget kritiske steder En gang: På vej i trafikerede vand, læk på kølevandssytemet, som var et helt system både hovedmotor og hjælpemaskiner fik totalt blackout kaptajn var opmærksom og lagde ror helt ud og drev derved lige mellem to kemikalie skibe og kunne så kaste anker Anden gang: Pilot ombord, som lagde pitch helt ned, hvilket foresagde overload af ME og derved blackout. Det var på Themsen og skibet drev igen lige forbi et kemikalie skib og andre skibe inden man fik strøm på igen Har det af helvede til ingen kontrol med noget meget ubehageligt Det skriger til himlen at man kan få dispensation fra DVN, til ikke at have en nødgenerator dette på baggrund af at man er et gammelt skib. Men det giver ikke meget mening nu når skibet tit navigere på lavt vand

They did drop anchor and hoped for the best. Situation at night with blackout, then there will be totally dark. An electrician working with a panel at bridge, he accidentally took out the gear/propeller and the ship started drifting. But navigator were quick to handle the situation and avoid danger In winter time, there is a lot of extra heating installed and powered. Sometimes this can result in a blackout cause it takes to much power

Zibbi 1 Okay a time we were quite close to another vessel, there I were a little afraid of a collision Zibbi 2 On another vessel I were employed, they had an emergency generator, so I felt safe if a blackout happened Henryk Fine Gregor Well, some of the blackouts with the bad chief, I were afraid of that we might damage something. Zibbi 1 Yes Zibbi 2 Yes Henryk Well I don t feel unsafe now, but will probably feel more safe with a new generator Gregor It s a big installation, and a collision might be avoided with the installation of a generator but as Henryk said, probably feel more safe if a blackout happens Darlek Yes
