Survey responses focused on the following: Transit Request for more public transportation around the region Light Rail Extremely popular among the respondents with a majority asking for the expansion of the region s light rail system. Transportation Options Many respondents indicated a lack of modal options in the region and the need to connect different modes (multimodal) Active Transportation Overwhelming support for more bike/pedestrian facilities in the region.
Continued usage of survey responses throughout the 2040 LRTP planning process. Survey provided the HRTPO staff an opportunity to engage the public at an early stage of the LRTP. Draft Vision & Goals have been developed based on the responses from the survey will be reviewed with the LRTP subcommittee. Candidate transportation project suggestions received from the survey are currently being reviewed by the HRTPO staff.
Public review and comment period: July 3, 2013 through July 17, 2013 Approval of report anticipated at the September TTAC and TPO Board meetings.
