The chemistry of the aftertreatment system 5. The SCR catalyst: Ammonia attacks the NOx 2NH 3 + CO 2 + NO + NO 2 => 2N 2 + 3H 2 O + CO 2 6. I-See instrumentation On/off with the ECO button. Left scroll button controls ECOlevel: ECO0 = I-See OFF ECO1/2/3 = I-See ON A higher ECO-number gives acceptation of larger speed variations up/down (more rubber band ), and thus also larger potential for fuel savings. The chosen ECO-level is shown with stars in a pop-up window in the cluster. IS will be shown in the instrument cluster when I-See is active. 29

I-See, customer benefits I-See is a smart I-Shift function, knowing the coming topography, thus securing optimum driving and fuel consumption savings of up to 5%! As soon as cruise control is used I-See can be used to optimize fuel consumption. I-See is able to detect smaller changes in road slope than the driver can with his/her eye. Fuel saving varies with topography. Only totally flat terrain gives no benefit. The fuel saving increase with increased vehicle GCW. I-See is developed for long-haul customers, travelling extensive distances. 32
