Welcome Welcome to TCJ Training Center Hotel we hope you will have a pleasant stay with us. In this file you will find practical information. If you have any questions, always feel free to ask at the reception. The Nordic Gods Frigga, Idun, Freyja and Thor guard the TCJ course hotel, each of them giving name to a block of rooms. The portraits of the goddesses are created by the artist Niels Rahbæk, Aarhus. FRIGGA IDUN FREYJA THOR Frigga is married to Odin and very essential. She is the goddess of family life, matrimony and motherhood. The name Idun means the rejuvenating one, and the goddess Idun is the exponent of the eternal youth of the gods. Freyja is the most beautiful of all goddesses. She is the goddess of fertility goddess of love and passion and she is summoned in connection with childbirth. God of Sky, thunder and fertility. Associated with law and order in Asgard and guardian of the Norse gods. Son of Odin and husband of Sif. Also known as the thunder god. 3
DEPARTURE / CHECK-OUT On the day of your departure we ask you to vacate your room before 9.00. Your luggage can be stored at the reception. REMEMBER to hand in things lent and hired. REMEMBER to hand in key / key card at the reception ATTENTION is drawn to the fact that furniture missing or ruined must be compensated for. LEFT PROPERTY will be stored for a month. SMOKING Smoking is not permitted indoors. In case of smoking in your accommodation, you will be charged a fine for additional cleaning. THANK YOU For not smoking in your room and in common premises. Particles from tobacco smoke settles in furniture and surroundings, and it cannot be removed by ventilation. This will affect those who subsequently use the room. Staying at DJH must be a nice experience to everyone. Therefore, we ask you to contribute to our continuous offering of rooms and course areas of a high standard. If you are a smoker, do enjoy the outdoor surroundings while enjoying the smoke that will be for the benefit of all. We aim at maintaining a high level at our training centre property, so that our guests are offered the best conditions possible while staying with us. This includes a smoke-free indoor environment. 6
POOL The college has an outdoor swimming pool which is heated by solar energy. Feel free to dive In. SPORTS and ACTIVITIES In your spare time the following are at your disposal : billards, pool, tennis, swimming pool, TV and living room, café, ball field, fitness center, jogging club and indoor activities in the wintertime. You can attend a jogging club twice a week at the facility. Feel free to join. Mondays and Wednesdays: 16:00 We meet at student information desk. CAFÉ The Cafe below the accommodation block named Vidar is open Monday - Thursday: 16.00 23.00. Coffee is served here and you can buy beer and soft drinks. 7
BIKE PARKING We have facility at Odin and Thor. Key is handed out at Student information desk. Motor bikes can be placed in the facility as well. NO PETS Pets are not to be admitted to students accommodation. In case of violation, a fine for additional cleaning will be sent. Dining When staying at the Training Center Hotel meals are served in our restaurant, where a culinary experience is offered. After dinner you can relax in the café, where coffee is served and beer and soft drinks sold. Dinner is served at 18.00. Breakfast is served from 7.00. Other meals are according to course schedule. IT FACILITIES You have access to free wireless internet. Codes are available at the reception or with the instructor. LAUNDRY FACILITIES Washing mashine is available. LIVING ROOM In the living room at the training center block, you will find a kitchenette with coffee machine, tableware etc. Coffee and tea are at your disposal. 8
